Visalia Karate-Do is a Goju-Ryu Kenwakai school and has multiple classes/skill levels to fit the needs of your entire family. At Kaweah Health Lifestyle Fitness Center:
Beginning Karate (ages 6+)
Monday & Wednesday 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Advanced Karate (ages 6+)
Monday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Wednesday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Kobudo (ages 6+)
Friday 6:30 pm -

Monday classes are in Aerobic Room B; Wednesday & Friday classes are in Aerobic Room A. At Visalia Parks & Recreations:
Kids Karate - Beginning (4-7 years old)
Wednesday 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm
Friday 6:20 pm - 6:50 pm
Kids Karate - Intermediate (4-7 years old)
Monday & Friday 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm
Beginning Karate-Do (ages 8+)

We recently wrapped up an extraordinary 5-day Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Kenwakai seminar led by Hanshi Akio Takahashi (10th Dan)—his first U.S. seminar since the 1970s! A senior student of the legendary Gogen Yamaguchi, Hanshi Takahashi brought his world-class kumite and kata expertise to California.
Joining him were Shihan Kozy Kaneda and Shihan Akiko Shiosawa, who inspired us all with their precision, knowledge, and kindness. 💪

Seven hours a day of focused training—Junbi Undo, Kihon, Kata, Kumi-waza—made this a truly unforgettable and authentic experience. 🌏

Thank you to everyone who traveled from the UK, France, Mexico, and all over California. Your spirit made this seminar truly special. 🥋

Let’s carry forward the lessons and continue growing in the true spirit of Goju-Ryu! ✨

We recently wrapped up an extraordinary 5-day Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Kenwakai seminar led by Hanshi Akio Takahashi (10th Dan)—his first U.S. seminar since the 1970s!
