A huge thank you to everyone that made the first annual Bad Axe PRCA Rodeo at Why Not Arena this past weekend (July 24th and 25th) a success!!

• To our fans: Thank you for packing the stands, supporting the vendors, and bringing the excitement!
• To our sponsors and volunteers: We could not have pulled this off without your time and support.
• To the contestants: Thank you for putting on an unforgettable show!
• To our entertainment: Summer & Company Trick Riding, Todd Pettigrew and Meyer Farms you put on a fantastic show that our fans loved - thank you!
• Marty and Westin Barnes: Thank you for having faith in us to host a rodeo at our family farm. Your encouragement and guidance has not gone unnoticed.

In 2 days, we have the privilege of welcoming two of the best bullfighters, Lucas Moore and Miles Jones, to the Bad Axe PRCA Rodeo at Why Not Arena.

Bullfighters are the professional rodeo athletes who do the specific and important work of protecting the cowboys. By anticipating the actions of both the bull and the rider, they are ready to provide instant distractions so the rider can have a safer escape from the bull when the ride is over. They put themselves between the bull and the rider and are sometimes referred to as “cowboy lifesavers.” They are not really out to fight bulls, but they are willing to get in their face if and when they need to. Because at the end of the night, we want all the athletes, both cowboys and the stock, to get home safe.

Jovita’s Kitchen is a family run authentic Mexican food truck. Per Mateo, he and his family (wife and four children) immigrated from Mexico for a better life. One of Mateo’s fond memories is his kids participating in 4-H. He is a proud father of two marines and one child in the air force. Mateo and his family love sharing the authentic Mexican cuisine from their home country, as well as every smile and person who comes to get food. They are looking forward to serving at the Bad Axe PRCA Rodeo!

🚨Calling all Mutton Busters!!🐑🚨
Sign up by Tuesday (7/21) to show off your skills in the Open Arena Events on Saturday, July 25th, before the second thrilling PRCA performance of the Bad Axe PRCA Rodeo at Why Not Arena!
Check-in for all Open Arena Events starts at 10:30 am. Mutton Busting will start after the Breakaway Roping wraps up around 12:30 pm.

Remember:
- Mutton Busters need to weigh less than 60 lbs
- $5 per event for all Open Arena Events, paid at check in
- PRCA Rodeo Ticket purchase is required
