Don & his staff are THE BEST!!

Five years ago today I started a new adventure not knowing where it would end up.

As it turns out it has been a great adventure.

Not many people have careers where you get to meet new people from all over the world as well as in your own back yard. The stories that have been shared with me have made me laugh, cry and help me to grow. Only at The Boat can you witness a chance reunion between a 1980 Olympic bobsledder from Germany and one from France after 40 plus years. That was an enjoyable 5 days.

To my friends in Clayton at Wood Boat Brewery, Saint Lawrence Spirits and Northern Flow Vineyards. Thank you for always being there with your support and encouragement. You have made my job much easier.

Thank you Mike for the opportunity. You are one of the best!

Lastly, to all my employees past and present. I have often said that I have the title as General Manager but I am not the boss. Thank you for all your hard work, input, laughs and tears. Whether you are now in the Adirondacks, Arizona, New Zealand, Florida etc...you will always be my family. I can not do this job without you! Love you Duff!!!

So tonight when I am home sitting in my Adirondack chair I will raise a toast to all my friends that have walked into my life through the doors at The Boat over the last five years. I will also raise a glass (pink of course) to my friends in Gilbert Mn.

🏒 Sticks Out for Tony🏒

There are people who leave an impact far beyond what words can capture, and today we remember one of them.

We ask our hockey community to put your hockey sticks out in honor and remembrance of an incredible hockey dad, devoted husband, compassionate physician, and cherished member of our hockey family.

Tony Bastianelli showed up for our families and community countless times. Whether he was cheering alongside us in the stands, helping an injured player, coaching our young players, or providing exceptional care, compassion, and guidance to our loved ones, he embodied what it means to serve others with kindness, humility, and generosity.

To Tony’s family, please know that your hockey family is here, today, and always. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. His kindness and selflessness made our community stronger, we are forever grateful for the impact he had on many lives.

Please join us in placing your hockey sticks outside your door as a simple but meaningful tribute to an extraordinary man who gave so much to others. As our sticks stand in silence, may they serve as a reminder that his kindness, compassion, and love for his family and community will never be forgotten.

We also have split the pot that will be donated to the Bastianelli family.  we also will be taking donations for the family also.

We have a sponsor for a kids team if there is anyone that has not signed up yet. All the fees for golf for that team will be paid.

Also we will have split the pot. And we will be donating that to the Bastianelli family with all they are going thru. We will also be taking donations for them too.
