The Back Bay Refuge was beautiful yesterday evening. It’s always the perfect place to reflect after a long week.
This phase of Bliss has brought a lot to reflect on.
Since day one, I’ve tried to make decisions for Bliss by following the Yoga Sutras as much as possible…and I’m continuing to do that through this phase too. It matters.

Owning a small business built around a philosophy I hold so sacred has taught me this lesson over and over again.

We made it through COVID. We made it through uncertainty, change, loss, growth, and so much more. And somehow, the practice keeps bringing me back to the same place.

Stay aligned. Let go of what I have no control over. Trust.

I don’t know exactly where this next phase is leading, but I’m trying not to force it. I have a feeling it’s going to be exactly what we need.

Just listening. Breathing. Trusting. Getting ready for a fun September… stay tuned. ✨

Grateful for the Yoga Sutras and grateful for all of you. 🙏🏽

Manifestation is coming. Not sure what but get ready… ✨

Different options are presenting themselves. Trusting to be guided.

Keep sending us all that good energy, prayers, and positive thoughts. 🙏🏽 I’m feeling it. We’re feeling it.

Love you… mean it. 🤍

One month from today, I will be stepping away from Bliss Yoga as its owner. There are people interested in buying Bliss, people who have been part of this community since the very beginning, and they are doing everything they can to keep Bliss going.

I am incredibly grateful for that, and for how deeply so many of you love this space and this community. So please set your intentions, say your prayers, send your energy, whatever you’ve got, to this new group who recognizes the blessing Bliss has been in our little corner of the world. I know how much they want to keep that blessing going.

At this point, though, I don’t know what will happen. For most of the seven years we’ve been here, I worked directly with the owner of our building. We are now working through a property management company, and the potential new owners are trying to work out new lease agreement with them.

If they are able to come to an agreement, Bliss can continue under new ownership.

If they cannot, Bliss Yoga’s last day of classes will be Sunday, September 27, 2026.

I have been trying to work through a lot behind the scenes and hoping I would have a more definite answer before today. But regardless of what happens, it was important to me that everyone has at least one month’s notice.

My final day with access to the building is September 30. I need those last few days after classes end to empty Bliss out completely. It’s all going. So, if you want to help with emptying/demoing, let me know. Just kidding. Kind of. 😂 I was thinking it could be therapeutic. 😉

I know this may bring up a lot of emotions. It does for me too.

I’m doing well. I knew I was ready to move on from ownership. I thought I would still be actively involved at Bliss doing the things I love; teaching, workshops, Yoga Teacher Training, while ownership passed to an amazing new group.

But this is a time of transition in my life. A time of letting go. I knew it was time to practice non-attachment. I thought I was. But sometimes letting go can’t be tied up in a neat little bow.
Whatever happens next, this community will keep going. My mind is already going with ideas. -continue in comments-

This is the only picture I got of Isaac on move-in day yesterday. Thank God my sister-in-law took this before we left her house on our way to JMU 💜
We got Isaac all set up in his freshman dorm room. He has seen three older siblings do this. We’re pros 😉
Two weeks ago, Marisa and I did a road trip to New Orleans with her car to start her senior year at Tulane 💚 I helped her get settled into such a cool New Orleans house. So many core memories made on this trip. I flew back home and started getting ready to take my youngest to his freshman year of college.
The second picture is from after we moved Isaac and I was back at my sister-in-law’s house, only about 50 minutes away from JMU.
Sitting in her hammock overlooking these mountains, I felt every emotion. Past and present. But these mountains held me. Brought me back to the present. Back to the now. Back to so much gratitude.
So many emotions. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of them. They are thriving, but most importantly, they are good, caring souls. I’m so very proud and grateful 🙏🏽

This is such a time of transition in my life. Maybe it is for you too. I’m remembering to breathe….and to surround myself with good, caring souls. 💕

Change can feel like a wave, wild and unpredictable. Especially now as littles and friends are heading back to school. May we remember to stay steady in this present moment. Rooted. Grounded. Together.

Grateful for this beautiful quote and illustration curated by our dear front desk friend, Meghan. 🫶
