One month from today, I will be stepping away from Bliss Yoga as its owner. There are people interested in buying Bliss, people who have been part of this community since the very beginning, and they are doing everything they can to keep Bliss going.
I am incredibly grateful for that, and for how deeply so many of you love this space and this community. So please set your intentions, say your prayers, send your energy, whatever you’ve got, to this new group who recognizes the blessing Bliss has been in our little corner of the world. I know how much they want to keep that blessing going.
At this point, though, I don’t know what will happen. For most of the seven years we’ve been here, I worked directly with the owner of our building. We are now working through a property management company, and the potential new owners are trying to work out new lease agreement with them.
If they are able to come to an agreement, Bliss can continue under new ownership.
If they cannot, Bliss Yoga’s last day of classes will be Sunday, September 27, 2026.
I have been trying to work through a lot behind the scenes and hoping I would have a more definite answer before today. But regardless of what happens, it was important to me that everyone has at least one month’s notice.
My final day with access to the building is September 30. I need those last few days after classes end to empty Bliss out completely. It’s all going. So, if you want to help with emptying/demoing, let me know. Just kidding. Kind of. 😂 I was thinking it could be therapeutic. 😉
I know this may bring up a lot of emotions. It does for me too.
I’m doing well. I knew I was ready to move on from ownership. I thought I would still be actively involved at Bliss doing the things I love; teaching, workshops, Yoga Teacher Training, while ownership passed to an amazing new group.
But this is a time of transition in my life. A time of letting go. I knew it was time to practice non-attachment. I thought I was. But sometimes letting go can’t be tied up in a neat little bow.
Whatever happens next, this community will keep going. My mind is already going with ideas. -continue in comments-
