We had a great evening walk at Oak Grove Lake Park with 20 members and two new ones in training. 😄 We start them young! 👧🏼 We completed 2–3 laps around the lake, covering 3–5 miles depending on the route. The weather was perfect for a summer evening, with shady trails, peaceful lake views, and a beautiful sunset to end the night. 🌿🌅 Thank you to everyone who came out. We hope to see you on the next walk! 👟💚🦆

We had a hot but enjoyable morning walk at Mt. Trashmore with a great crew of 6. 👟☀️ The views were beautiful, but the summer heat definitely made itself known. Because of the rising temperatures, we’ll be moving next week’s Tuesday morning walk to 9:00 AM. Thank you to everyone who came out, and a special thank you to Rick for hosting the Mt. Trashmore Tuesday walk. We appreciate all that you do for the group. 😊💧 See you next week!

We had a beautiful evening at First Landing State Park with 14 members and two cute doggies joining us for a relaxing sunset hike. 🐶 We covered 3 miles in a little over an hour while exploring shady maritime forest trails, the scenic boardwalk, and the beach along the Chesapeake Bay. 🌊 The weather was perfect, and we were treated to an incredible sunset with colorful skies, sun rays breaking through the clouds, and gentle waves along the shoreline. 🌅 We also spotted several crabs 🦀 scurrying across the beach and even found a jellyfish washed ashore. Thank you to everyone who came out and spent Father’s Day evening with us. Hopefully all the dads had a wonderful Father’s Day, and we look forward to seeing you on the next adventure! 😊

Happy Father’s Day and International Naked Hiking Day! 🙈 We had a small but mighty crew of 13 for our sunrise walk along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, followed by breakfast at Big Sam’s. 🌅👟 We covered 6 miles in about 2 hours while enjoying calm ocean views, a beautiful sunrise, the King Neptune statue, the fishing pier, and some local wildlife along the way. 🐦🌊 We were lucky to spot both a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret, adding a little extra beauty to an already amazing morning. The weather was perfect, the conversation was great, and breakfast afterward was the perfect reward. 🍳🥓 Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we hope all the fathers had a fantastic day celebrating with family and friends. ❤️ See you on the next adventure!

Summer is almost here! ☀️ We kicked off the weekend with a 5-mile hike at Northwest River Park with 23 members and Ori the dog. 🥾🐾 Cool morning temps made for ideal hiking as we explored forests, boardwalks, waterways, cypress swamps, and lakeside overlooks. 🌲🍄 Along the way, we enjoyed great conversation, beautiful scenery, and plenty of fresh air. 🌿 After the hike, several of us stopped at Bergey’s Breadbasket for sandwiches, ice cream, and other homemade treats. 🍦 A perfect finish to another East Coast Hikers adventure—thanks to everyone who joined us, and we hope to see you on the next one! 😊

We had a hot but pleasant evening walk at Mt. Trashmore with 11 members and Ori the doggie. 🐶 Despite the summer heat, we were treated to plenty of wind and cloud cover, which made for comfortable walking conditions. We covered 4 miles together and tackled one flight of stairs for a little extra challenge along the way. 💪 The highlight of the evening was spotting a huge rainbow stretching across the sky. 🌈 It made for a beautiful backdrop as we enjoyed great conversation, stayed active, and took in the views around the park. 😊 Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again next week for another fun evening walk! ⛅️
