Freedom Bike Works Velo Competitive Racing Club that promotes local rides and races. Fat Frogs Racing promotes the sport of cycling, primarily through racing, under USA Cycling.

Our team is focused on developing riders, with membership open to anyone who would like to try any type of bike racing at any level.

We had an easy ride to NWR Park in Chesapeake. It was our first time there is an while and the park has all new facilities! We had a good group with some strong new comers. There was solid tailwind going out but that meant we were fighting a headwind the whole way back.

Max Fryar was third in the 50+ at Gravel Guts and Glory at Pocahontas State Park outside of Richmond today. Dan Crocker and Bruce Klinger also had good overall results for Freedom Bike Works. Other local riders that podiumed were Josh Moore, who won the overall, and Mike Hosang who was second in the 50+. The course was dry but we had a few short downpours at the end of the ride just to cool things down. It turned out to be a very challenging ride.

Farewell to our teammate, Tim Hutchins! We were so glad to get one last Saturday ride in with him yesterday before he heads back to the UK. It’s been an absolute pleasure having Tim on the team—he’s been a fantastic riding partner and an even better friend. Wishing Tim and his family all the best on their new adventure back home!
