Thank you for your interest in LeGrande Slam Charters. My brother and I have worked in the charter business for over 15 years.

We understand that you are looking for an enjoyable day one the water. We are here to have fun, make your trip enjoyable, and fish as hard as we possibly can. Our goal is to provide you a top of the line fishing trip, at a price that does not break the bank. The Boat:
The LeGrande Slam is a Custom 27 foot Judge Yacht, built by Bill Judge in Denton, MD. This is a great fishing platfo

rm with the latest in safety gear and electronics. On board you will find all required USCG saftey gear, lift raft, epirb, spot messenger, and xm weather/radio. The forward bow boast a large storage cabin to keep your gear dry, the console has an inclosed head (porta potty). This is a must when women and children are on board. We maintain our vessel constantly to ensure your saftey. Fishing:

The captain will let you know what is biting, and we will target the species of your choice. Our area is home to one of the most diverse fisheries in the U.S. In our inshore waters you will find the likes of cobia, striped bass, spadefish, red drum, black drum, flounder, amberjack, jack crevalle, barracuda, and a variety of sharks, bluefish, spanish mackerel, sheepshead, tautog, sea bass, spot, croaker, speckled trout, and gray trout. We are fortunate to have one of the largest man made reefs, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, at our doorstep. Given the diversity, we will let you know what is biting, and design a trip specifically for your needs. Family Fishing:

If you are looking for a relaxing near shore day with the family, we suggest trolling for bluefish and Spanish mackerel. This type of fishing will provide action for the whole family. We will troll the beaches in search of tide rips, and diving birds. In this same area you will see larges ships, and an abundance of wildlife including dolphin and sea turtles. Do you feel that your kids may not be ready to venture out into the Chesapeake Bay for a fishing adventure? Well, we have just the trip for you. Cruise along the creeks of Lynnhaven inlet in search of the inshore species, which will certainly provide plenty of action for the youngsters. During this trip we can provide the children with bottom fishing rods to catch spot, croaker, flounder, juvenile red drum (redfish), trout, and many more little critters. Of course the adults will be allowed to partake in the fun as well. On this adventure, we can even set out some lines and catch the delicious blue crab. The best part about this package is that it is for all ages. Evening Cruises:

Chesapeake Bay / Cape Henry Dolphin Watching: Are you visiting the area, or have family coming to town? This is a great trip for families, or the adults that would enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun disappear over the Chesapeake Bay. Set sail out of Lynnhaven Inlet at approx. 6pm to embark on a tour of the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. Along the near shore waters of Cape Henry, you will find an abundance of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin, Pelicans, Shore Birds, and sea turtles. While looking for wildlife, you will also enjoy seeing the large ships that transit in and out of our port. Whether you are watching a Navy Sub, Aircraft Carrier, or 1200’ containership you will be in awe. If you are interested in trying your luck at fishing, we can also troll for Spanish mackerel and bluefish, while enjoying the scenery.
