🌊🎣 TNT Dirt Fishin’ took a break from the dirt and beached hard! 🏖️😂

We swapped the detectors for some reel fishin’, explored Fern Canyon and Trinidad, and the boys and Tenille hit the waves boogie boarding at Moonstone Beach! 🏄‍♂️🌊

Of course, we couldn’t resist a little agate hunting competition on the beach. 🪨👀 The boys were all about it! 😂 Apparently, you can take the Dirt Fishin’ crew off the dirt, but you can’t take the hunt out of the crew!

Packed weekend, lots of driving, exploring, laughs, and family memories. We even made a few stops on the way home through Helena and a good-vibes spot where we spun prayer wheels outside Weaverville.

From fishin’ to beachin’ and everything in between… one heck of a weekend! ❤️

We came. We saw. We beached. We conquered. 🤘😎🌊

Tenille brought her boys out to the North Coast, and we finally made it into Fern Canyon! 🌿⛏️

We’ve been turned around the last few years, so this time we actually booked a reservation and were pumped to finally get through. 😂 After seeing how many people were coming in, though, we started wondering if anyone actually booked a reservation… because nobody even checked ours. 🤦‍♂️
But hey, we made it! And along the way, we learned something pretty wild — Fern Canyon and Gold Bluffs Beach were actually part of a mini gold rush in the 1850s! Fine gold was being recovered along the coast, and people were out there chasing that North Coast gold for real. 🪙💰

Unfortunately, we didn’t run into any elk in the canyon, so Tenille survived the trip without getting attacked like the sign depicts. 😂🦌

Beautiful country, some seriously cool history, and another adventure with the crew. Now we’re wondering… how much gold is still hiding out there? 👀⛏️

🎥 TNT Dirt Fishin’ — Doolittle Pioneer Park | Index, Washington

Today we’re checking out a little piece of Index history at Doolittle Pioneer Park. 🏔️

One of the coolest sights here is this massive circular granite-cutting saw blade, a reminder of the town’s old quarrying days. This blade was used to cut the local granite that was shipped out for construction projects—including the steps of Washington’s State Capitol in Olympia. 🪨

📹 Sorry about the camera struggling to focus on the blade! It’s definitely one of those things that looks even more impressive in person.

After checking out the saw, take a look around at the riverfront building and the beautiful North Fork Skykomish River flowing alongside town. 🌲💦

History, mountains, river views, and a giant piece of old-school quarry equipment—Index has some pretty cool stories hiding in plain sight.

Tucked into the mountains, Index is one of those little Washington towns that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. 🏔️

Big mountain peaks, beautiful scenery, and a creek running right through it all. 🌲💦
