Why CrossFit Kids?

In a world where screens compete for our kids’ attention every minute of the day, we’re proud to offer a place where they can put the phones down and build something far more important—confidence, strength, and healthy habits.

At CrossFit Vinita, our kids aren’t just exercising. They’re learning proper lifting techniques, body awareness, coordination, balance, and how to move safely and efficiently. Every movement is taught with an emphasis on good mechanics before intensity.

They learn:
✅ Proper squat, press, and lifting technique
✅ Discipline and focus
✅ Teamwork and encouragement
✅ Confidence through accomplishment
✅ The value of hard work

Most importantly, they get an hour to unplug, challenge themselves, make friends, and discover what they’re capable of.

Strong kids become strong adults—and that starts with learning to move well, work hard, and believe in themselves.

Less screen time. More strength. More confidence. More fun.

Adults and kids need the same thing.

They need movement.
They need challenges.
They need confidence.
They need a place where they belong.

The only difference is the size of the barbell.

Kids learn balance, coordination, resilience, and confidence through play. Adults learn the exact same things through training. Both discover what they’re capable of when they’re encouraged, supported, and given the chance to try.

At CrossFit Vinita, we believe fitness isn’t just for a certain age—it’s for life. Whether you’re 2 years old carrying a toy barbell or a momma with 2 boys under 5 chasing your next PR, the goal is the same:

Build strong humans.

Some friendships are built in the classroom. Others are built through hard work, encouragement, and showing up for each other, regardless as to where you are. ❤️

These two young men are proving that fitness is about so much more than exercise. It’s about confidence, perseverance, and having someone by your side who believes in you.

During personal training, one athlete works from a wheelchair while the other jumps right in beside him—squatting, skiing, crawling, and tackling every challenge TOGETHER! Different abilities, same effort. Different paths, same goal.

At CrossFit Vinita, we believe fitness is for EVERY body. Watching these two encourage each other reminds us that true strength isn’t measured by how much weight you lift—it’s measured by your determination, your heart, and the way you lift others up along the way.

We’re proud of both of these young men and the example they set every time they walk (or roll) through our doors. Big Props to Coach Erin for her hard work with these 2 sweet guys.

The clean & jerk is one of the most powerful movements in fitness because it combines strength, speed, coordination, and balance all in one lift.

The clean teaches you to explosively move weight from the ground to your shoulders with power and precision.
The jerk teaches you to drive that weight overhead with confidence and control.

Together, the movement trains full-body power, athleticism, core stability, coordination, and mental focus. It develops the ability to move efficiently under load — something that carries over far beyond the gym.

The clean & jerk isn’t just about lifting heavy.
It’s about learning how to be explosive, stable, and confident under pressure.

At CrossFit Vinita our Longevity Program is designed specifically for older adults who want to keep living life — not sitting on the sidelines watching it.

Today wasn’t about being the fastest.
It wasn’t about RX, a leaderboard, or proving anything to anyone else.

Today was about showing up. 🇺🇸

Every single person who tackled Murph at CrossFit Vinita did it to the best of their ability — and that’s what matters. Some ran, some walked, some scaled, some modified, some fought through every single rep one breath at a time… but EVERYONE finished with heart. ❤️

Murph humbles all of us.
It reminds us that hard things are possible when you keep moving forward and lean on the people beside you.

We are proud of every athlete today — from seasoned members to first-timers. You honored the workout, honored the meaning behind it, and proved once again that this community is built different.

Sweaty. Tired. Sore. Proud.
