These two sweet sisters brought their handsome gelding, Captain, over for a lesson last night, and he did great. While one rider partnered up with Captain, the other hopped aboard Button, and the girls worked their way through our diamond pole exercises, focusing on straightness, steady speed, control, and sitting tall.🐴

With the summer heat making itself known, we were extra mindful to keep everyone comfortable and happy, giving the horses plenty of breaks and making sure nobody was overworked. The result? A fun, successful lesson full of smiles, learning, and great riding.🥰

I am truly proud of the effort these girls put in every single time they come out. And our sweet Captain? He keeps improving so much with each visit. Watching his confidence blossom, seeing his body transform as he gains muscle, and noticing how he always tries his best to make his girls happy has been such a joy! ❤️🐎☀️

Maysn and Lefty had a fantastic lesson together this afternoon! 🤩

Every horse is different, and every horse has something unique to teach us. Riding a new horse is always an adjustment, but it's also how we become better riders. Today was Maysn's first ride on Lefty and her first time using a Western bridle and bit. She handled both with confidence, soft hands, and thoughtful cues… Lefty seemed pretty impressed too! 🥰🐴

By the end of the lesson, these two were already looking like a great team! I can't wait to see what they accomplish together this summer.🤠✨

Lefty may spend his days hanging out with the barn’s resident nerd herd, but don’t let that fool you…when Mom and Dad pulled into the driveway, he knew exactly who they were! 🐴❤️

His ears perked up, his whole expression changed, and he made it very clear that his favorite people had arrived. It’s always special to see how horses remember and bond with the people they love. 🥰

Lauri and Kayla kicked off the morning with a fantastic ride! 🐴☀️

We were especially excited to have Adam back in the arena. His tootsies have been a little sore lately (mostly from spending too much time chasing Button away from her feed!), but he was feeling much better and ready to get back to work. 😜 We slapped on some boots and he and Kayla had a great ride together! 🥰

Meanwhile, Laurie and Rowdy did what Laurie and Rowdy do best…show up, work hard, and make it look easy.

During the lesson, we continued building on our patterns while introducing some more advanced balance exercises and refining our riding skills.🤠

So proud of these ladies and the progress they’re making. It was a beautiful morning at the barn and a great way to start the weekend! 💙

🐴💙 Please join me in welcoming Miss Emma and her wonderful family to the barn! 💙🐴

Emma came out today to meet Rowdy and complete her riding evaluation, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🌟

She’s been riding with one of our amazing sister barns, and it definitely shows. They’ve done a fantastic job building a solid foundation. After realizing how close they were to us, Emma and her family decided to come check us out, and we’re so glad they did!

Today we worked on patterns, walk-to-trot transitions, balance, and overall horsemanship. Emma showed confidence, good instincts, and some impressive riding skills. Most importantly, she and Rowdy clicked right away…and if you know Rowdy, you know his opinion matters. I think it’s safe to say he gave her two ears up and his official seal of approval! 🐴✅

Great job today, kiddo! We loved meeting your family and can’t wait to see what you accomplish this summer.

Ella and Rowdy had another fantastic lesson this week, and Mom and Dad both got in on the fun! 🐴☀️

Our focus this week is on patterns, balance, steering, stopping, backing, and, most importantly, having fun along the way. With this beautiful weather, we’ve been soaking up every minute of our afternoons in the arena.

I’m so proud of how far Miss Ella has come. It feels like just yesterday we were encouraging Rowdy to take a few more steps at a walk, and now she’s got him trotting all over the arena without a problem! 🤠

The confidence, determination, and horsemanship she’s developing are really starting to shine through. Keep up the great work, kiddo…you and Rowdy make a pretty awesome team! 💙
