Directions To The Range

The road into the range has been improved greatly. Smaller cars can make it if careful but a SUV or truck is usually the best way to get there. GPS Coordinates: 31.256560N, -88.409638W

From Mobile. Take I-65 North. Take exit 13 for AL-158 at Saraland. Turn left at Al-158. Take the US-45 North ramp. Turn right at US-45 North. Travel north on hwy 45 for approx. 22 miles until you get to Citronelle. Stop at Hardees for a breakfast sandwich. Continue north on hwy 45 for 11 more miles bearing left at the fork of hwy 45 and Hwy 17. About a mile past the fork, you will come to Vinegar bend. Turn left on County Road 1 and follow it for 6.3 miles. When you come to the Epworth Volunteer fire station turn left on the Newly paved road (Fire House Rd). Travel about 1/2 mile and turn left on to a smaller dirt road usually marked with a white IPSC target. Travel about 1 mile through the woods and you will come to the range.

https://practiscore.com/mpsa-2026-04-25/register

Match Start Time: 10:00 AM
It is a must to get to the range on time so that we can get setup and start on time. Everyone should be signed in by 9:30 AM so that the squadding can be finalized.

Shooters meeting will be at 9:50 AM. Stages should be setup and ready by 9:50 as well. If we all do our part to get to the range a bit earlier then we can get done shooting at a decent time.

Who can come: EVERYONE

Match Fees: $10 for MPSA members, $20 for Guests. If this is your first match as a competitive shooter your match is FREE.

What do I need to shoot a USPSA match? Eye and Ear Protection (safety glasses and ear muffs or ear plugs) Any brand of Handgun with a caliber larger than .38/9mm. USPSA divisions encompass 9mm, .38 cal, .40 cal and .45 cal. You will need a holster and at least 2 magazines and pouches. Our matches normally consist of 5 stages with 25 to 30 rounds each so having additional magazines is a plus. Bring at least 150 rounds of ammo. Sometimes the stages require more and sometimes less.

Pasting, Setting Steel and Scoring:
If you are not the shooter on deck or reloading after you shoot then you should be helping to set steel and paste targets. This really makes a difference in how long the match takes to complete.

New Shooters: If you are planning to bring a new shooter please make sure to get them to the range early so that they can go through the new shooter orientation.

See you at the range,
TZ
