Living long is not necessarily living healthy, and longevity does not automatically convert into quality of life. Longevity is best demonstrated through the framework of the best features of health, which include: vitality, physical resilience, energy, and fundamental force. Beyond the health capacity there are others that highlight on well-being, such as: positive moods, self-confidence, cognitiv
e sharpness, creativity and self-actualization/self-esteem. Each portion correlates to longevity; therefore, longevity training pursues the most efficient pathways that enhance all-around wellness, which then opens up the outer limits of life span. Training focuses on the essential factors determining longevity, from improving the fundamental mechanics of the body, to recruiting the dynamic forces of the mind. Someone once said that our body is a living metaphor for our mind and our emotions. When we accumulate stress, whether mental or emotional, if not dealt with in a healthy way, the stress manifests in the body. Longevity training also addresses whatever issue that comes up in the moment in order to improve, heal and adapt as a whole being so that we may achieve and experience all that we desire through functional exercise. As the body strengthens, the mind, in parallel, is invited to master novel patterns of experiencing that conserve energies and activate health. Longevity training draws on the mind's potential to greatly surpass its usual functioning. Pushing through its routine boundaries, the mind and body can be guided to reach ever deeper and higher into the wealth of its own dimensions. Longevity Training is a way of training with the goal being a long, healthy, happy life. Instead of training to appease egotistical standards of what we think we should look like based on what the media and society tells us, it is functional fitness. This then creates and maintains the ability to do the activities that we love to do or everyday functions with the greatest amount of ease possible for as long as possible.
