Good evening everyone,

What a season. At the beginning of the year, we talked about goals, hard work, and believing in each other. Tonight, we get to celebrate something special — being champions.

Winning the championship wasn’t just about talent. It was about commitment. It was about practices, long games, learning from mistakes, and never giving up when things got tough. Every player on this team contributed to our success, whether it was with a big hit, a great defensive play, encouragement from the dugout, or simply showing up every day ready to work.

I’m incredibly proud of this team, not only for what you accomplished on the field, but for the way you represented yourselves, your families, and your school. You played with heart, toughness, and sportsmanship all season long.

To our players: thank you for trusting each other and growing together as a team. Championships are remembered, but the friendships, memories, bus rides, practices, laughs, and lessons are what stay with you forever.

To the parents and families: thank you for your endless support — the rides, the cheering, the snacks, and the encouragement. This season would not have been possible without you.

And to our assistant coach Aaron Wells : thank you for your time, energy, and dedication to helping these ladies improve both on and off the field.

This championship trophy is a symbol of what can happen when a group of people work together toward a common goal. You earned it.

As this season comes to an end, remember this feeling. Remember what hard work and teamwork can accomplish. Carry that confidence with you into next season, into school, and into life.

Congratulations again to our JH softball champions. I couldn’t be prouder of all of you.

Walk-Off Seals The Deal In WJHS Victory Over Frontier Cougars JH

It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as WJHS grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 8-7, over Frontier Cougars JH. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the seventh when Adrianne Harshbarger singled, scoring one run.

Breanna Wagner collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Wagner tripled in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Frontier Cougars JH were the first to get on the board in the first when Kennedy Seevers singled, scoring one run.

WJHS took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Frontier Cougars JH committed an error, and Frontier Cougars JH committed an error, each scoring one run.

Emma Reese laid down a sacrifice bunt, which helped Frontier Cougars JH tie the game at two in the top of the third.

In the bottom of the third, WJHS broke up the tie when Ashtyn Donahue doubled, scoring one run. Then a triple by Wagner followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

Frontier Cougars JH took the lead, 5-4, in the top of the fourth thanks to singles by Baylee Ritchie, Kendall Haught, and Katelyn Morris.

WJHS jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Wagner doubled down the right field line, and Annebelle Moore laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Frontier Cougars JH went back into the lead after Morris singled to center field, and Bella Felter singled, each scoring one run.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, WJHS went back into the lead after Moore singled to center field, and Harshbarger singled, each scoring one run.

Donahue stepped in the circle first for WJHS. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 14 hits and seven runs (six earned) over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking three. Seevers started the game for Frontier Cougars JH. The righty gave up nine hits and eight runs (six earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 13 and walking two.

WJHS piled up nine hits in the game. Moore, Wagner, and Harshbarger each drove in two runs for WJHS. Donahue collected two hits for WJHS in four at bats. Moore and Brooklyn Wells each stole multiple bases for WJHS. WJHS ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game. WJHS turned one double play in the game.

Frontier Cougars JH tallied 14 hits in the game. Morris and Haught were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Frontier Cougars JH. Morris went 3-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Seevers, Felter, and Ritchie each collected multiple hits for Frontier Cougars JH.

Ashtyn Donahue Puts On Strong Contact Performance As WJHS Take The Win Over Marietta JH Tigers

Ashtyn Donahue collected three hits in three at bats, as WJHS defeated Marietta JH Tigers 10-0 on Monday. Donahue tripled in the first inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.

Donahue struck out 11 batters on the day. The righty also gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings while walking three.

WJHS got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Donahue tripled to center field, Adrianne Harshbarger walked, and WJHS scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

WJHS added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Donahue doubled, scoring two runs, Breanna Wagner tripled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run.

WJHS added one run in the third. Donahue singled down the right field line, making the score 8-0.

K Hockenberry led things off in the circle for Marietta JH Tigers. The hurler allowed four hits and seven runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking two.

WJHS tallied 10 hits in the game. Leah Davis and Breelyn Morgenstern each collected multiple hits for WJHS. Brooklyn Wells stole two bases. WJHS stole six bases in the game.

B Booher led Marietta JH Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Marietta JH Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. E Johnston had the most chances in the field with eight.

Breanna Wagner Powers WJHS Past Waterford JH

Breanna Wagner hit two home runs and drove in five as WJHS defeated Waterford JH 27-3 on Saturday. Wagner homered in the second and third innings.

WJHS scored 14 runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Annebelle Moore singled, scoring one run, Avery Holiday singled, scoring two runs, Kyrian Clatterbuck singled, scoring one run, Madison Smith drew a walk, scoring one run, Ashtyn Donahue tripled, scoring three runs, Wagner hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, Breelyn Morgenstern drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brooklyn Wells hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs.

A single by Peyton Oxley put Waterford JH on the board in the top of the first.

WJHS flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring eight runs on five hits to take the lead, 8-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Clatterbuck that drove in two.

Wagner hit a solo inside the park home run in the bottom of the third for the WJHS.

Morgenstern led things off in the circle for WJHS. The pitcher gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out five and walking none. Aubrey Fordyce stepped in the circle first for Waterford JH. The starter gave up 11 hits and 18 runs (16 earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking seven. Holiday tossed one inning of no-run ball for WJHS in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

WJHS tallied 18 hits in the game. Wells and Wagner each drove in five runs for WJHS. Donahue, Moore, Holiday, Clatterbuck, and Adrianne Harshbarger each collected multiple hits for WJHS. WJHS had patience at the plate, piling up 14 walks for the game. Smith and Morgenstern led the team with three bases on balls each. Brooke Billman, Smith, Moore, and Harshbarger each stole multiple bases for WJHS. WJHS stole 11 bases in the game. WJHS didn't commit a single error in the field. Moore had the most chances in the field with 13.

Fordyce , Oxley, and Addison Haught each collected one hit for Waterford JH. Fordyce , Oxley, and Peyton Mccutcheon each drove in one run for Waterford JH.
