AMELIA ARDOIN - MADA GRADUATE
🎓 I am Graduating from Mamou High School and plan to pursue my degree in Administrative Healthcare/ Health Information Managment
🩰 I have been dancing for the past 8 years, 6 of them here at Motion Arts. One word to describe my dance journey: MEMORABLE
🎶 My favorite style of dance is Hip Hop, because it is fun and sassy.
🎨 My favorite performance and costume I’ve had is “Neon Lights” (SZN 5 – Paint the Stage) and “Jealous of the Angels” (SZN 2 – Season’s Change) which was a dance dedicated to my baby brother George.
🐚 The dance I am looking forward to performing the most is “Unfairly Ever After” in this year’s production.
❤️ My Biggest inspiration during my dance journey has been my mom. She has always been there through it all with me and is every little girls dream Dance Mom.
💭 Some of my favorite memories from dance are receiving my senior jacket and being on staff, but my earliest memories are dressing up for dance camp and the year I almost had to walk on everyone’s back for a dance.
💬 My favorite quote from inside the studio is either from Ivy saying “6-7!” or Mrs. Ciera’s “I’m gonna wrap you in bubble wrap”
🩰 Dance has taught me to keep pushing myself further because “I can’t” isn’t an option, its also showed me how to use my emotions when I’m dancing.
❤️ Being a part of this studio means the world to me, it has shown me that dance doesn’t always have to be a competition, everyone is treasured. Mrs. Ciera is the best teacher you’ll ever find. I’m going to miss all the laughs, arguing with Ann Marie, getting fussed when we show up to dance “broken”, and even talking to Ivy when she doesn’t even respond to me.
A message from Amelia to our younger dancers:
“ Never take any of it for granted because it will be over in the blink of an eye. Learn the full experience of dance, show up to EVERY class…you’re gonna regret it if you don’t when you realize those class practices are memories and you can’t go back. Also, don’t complain when Mrs. Ciera runs class 15 min pass because those are 15 minutes you wont ever get back in the studio.”
