Happy 9th Birthday to our #7, Freckles!

This kid LOVES to play — whenever, wherever, and however he can!

Give him a baseball, a glove, a field, and some teammates and he’s HAPPY! There’s pretty much nowhere Freckles would rather be than on the baseball field!

Whether he’s making a play, digging in at the plate, chasing down a ball, or just finding a way to turn ANYWHERE into a baseball field… Dec is always ready to play!

Mason V A Difficult Out As Villa Park Venom - Black 9U Defeat Scorpions Baseball 8U
September 4, 2026 vs. Scorpions Baseball 8U

Mason V collected three hits in three at bats, as Villa Park Venom - Black 9U defeated Scorpions Baseball 8U 13-8 on Friday at Westdale Park. Mason hit a solo home run to right field in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Villa Park Venom - Black 9U came back to win despite trailing 8-3 in the second.

Villa Park Venom - Black 9U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Aiden H grounded out, and Mason homered to right field, each scoring one run.

Villa Park Venom - Black 9U added one run in the second. Scorpions Baseball 8U committed an error, making the score 3-0.
Scorpions Baseball 8U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
Villa Park Venom - Black 9U scored five runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Graham N singled, scoring two runs, Aiden singled, scoring one run, Gus G grounded out, scoring one run, and Elias R singled, scoring one run.

Villa Park Venom - Black 9U flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 13-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Graham that drove in two.

Gus opened the game for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and eight runs (six earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking nine. Jonathan S stepped on the hill first for Scorpions Baseball 8U. The pitcher allowed 14 hits and 13 runs (12 earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking seven. Graham and Aiden each threw shutout innings for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U in relief.

Villa Park Venom - Black 9U tallied 14 hits in the game. Graham went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Aidan B and Hayden D each collected multiple hits for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U. Antoni B paced Villa Park Venom - Black 9U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Hayden and Mason each stole multiple bases for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U. Villa Park Venom - Black 9U stole eight bases in the game.

Gus G Drives In 5 To Lead Villa Park Venom - Black 9U Past 9U Lightning
August 29, 2026 vs. 9U Lightning

Gus G drove in five runs on three hits to lead Villa Park Venom - Black 9U past 9U Lightning 11-4 on Saturday at Lombard Park District - Sunset Knoll. Gus tripled in the third scoring two, tripled in the fourth scoring two, and singled in the first scoring one.

Villa Park Venom - Black 9U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Aiden H tripled to center field, Mason V grounded out, and Gus singled, each scoring one run.

A single by Mason, a triple by Gus, and a single by Elias R helped Villa Park Venom - Black 9U extend their early lead in the third. Aiden led things off on the bump for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking none. Lincoln J led things off on the hill for 9U Lightning. The pitcher gave up six hits and 11 runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking nine. Mason tossed two innings of no-run ball for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U in relief. The pitcher allowed one hit, striking out three and walking four.

Graham N paced Villa Park Venom - Black 9U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Aidan B, Hayden D, Mason, Elias, Declan G, and Antoni B each stole multiple bases for Villa Park Venom - Black 9U. Villa Park Venom - Black 9U ran wild on the base paths, piling up 19 stolen bases for the game. Villa Park Venom - Black 9U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Gus made the most plays with five.

DOBRY WAS DEALIN’.

The Venom bats came alive in an 18–13 win over Wasco Red, but #23 Hayden Dobry made sure his was a performance nobody was forgetting.

Hayden came up BIG at the plate, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs, ripping a 2-run TRIPLE in the first and then turning on the jets for an INSIDE-THE-PARK HOME RUN in the third.

That’s one heck of a day at the ballpark.

THE BATS WERE HOT. THE BASES WERE BUSY. AND VENOM CAME TO PLAY.

Villa Park Venom Black 9U took down Wasco Red 8U, 18–13, in a wild one last Saturday night!

Venom wasted absolutely NO time getting to work, putting up 9 runs in the first inning and never looking back.

ZERO ERRORS

Hayden Dobry, Gus Gentile and Declan Gallagher each collected two hits, while David Keener, Hayden and Declan each drove in three runs apiece.

Hayden brought the fireworks with a 2-run triple in the first before turning on the jets for an INSIDE-THE-PARK HOME RUN in the third.

Then Venom blew it open again in the fourth, putting up 8 more runs behind big hits from Aiden Hernandez-Prisant, Gus Gentile and Jacob Huggins — plus some serious patience at the plate.

And while the bats did their thing, the defense took care of business:

Not. One. Error.

Gus Gentile got the start on the bump, with David Keener, Declan Gallagher and Antoni Bujar coming in behind him to help finish it out.

A whole lot of offense.
