All chairs need to be put away after ANY club event/meeting/gathering. Floor will need to be clear for cleaning.
No new members will be taken in the months of September and October. Renewals will begin in November and will be taken until the March club meeting.
Pistol Range – Dave Pantelis (330) 540-3535
**There will be a work party on Sunday, September 20th starting at 8:30am. Please bring w**d trimmers.**
Metal frame targets are still allowed on the range. Metal swinging target are allowed but must be shot at straight on. No Angle shooting. No hi power AR pistols are allowed on the pistol range. Straight wall cases only. 5.7 x 28 cartridges are NOT permitted on pistol range. Also, no center fire rifle or shot gun on pistol range. Call Dave with any question on the range. *Please return target frames to the range pavilion (on the concrete) after each use. This will keep them out of the weather as well as out of the wary during lawn mowing. *No driving down to the pistol range. Please park in the parking lot.*
Olympic Rifle Shooting and Rifle Safety Program - 2026 Vienna Cougars Jr. Rifle – Russ Evans (330) 534-5344
All girls and boys between the ages of 12 and 16 years are invited to participate in an 8 week course on safe gun handling and Olympic Position Rifle shooting. The classes will be conducted at the Fish and Game Club of Vienna. They are sponsored by the Cougars Junior Rifle Team, the Fish and Game Club of Vienna, the ODNR and the CMP. Instruction will be provided by NRA certified coaches and instructors and will be given in both air rifle and 22 caliber single shot smallbore target rifle. The first meeting will be at 5:30pm on Monday evening Sept 28 and the classes will continue until Nov. 17. All equipment will be provided and the cost is $10.00 a week. Juniors need to have an adult sponsor with them for the first meeting. The Fish and Game Club of Vienna is located on
State Rt.193 North on the east side just past the Youngstown/Warren Regional Airport Entrance. There is a sign at the end of the driveway.
Young shooters will have the chance to work at their own pace as they learn gun safety and Olympic style rifle shooting in the prone, standing, sitting and kneeling positions. Young people who score well and have an interest may be invited to fill openings on the FGV “Cougars” Junior Rifle Team or other local junior teams. The team participates in the North East Ohio Junior Rifle League where they have been league champions for more than 30 years. They also compete on the state and national level. They ranked nationally in the top 5 percent of four position and three position junior shooting teams. Reservations are required since space is limited to 16 young people. **There will be an archery work party on Monday, October 5th starting at 9:00am.** Lunch will be provided. Those who want to participate please call Jim ahead of time so he can be prepared with enough food.
Lawn Mowing/Grounds – Mike Sroka (330) 518-5752
Help is needed keeping the club grounds nice. Give Mike a call and see what you can do to help out. Great way to get work hours and help keep the club grounds beautiful for the summer.
2026 Mahoning Valley Trap League Schedule
**ALL SHOOTING RANGES WILL BE CLOSED**
The league will be using the Fish and Game of Vienna’s trap facilities on the following Monday date: September 14th.

Rentals are available on days there are no club activities planned. Please call James for details if you are interested in renting the club. There are new fees and new polices for renting. You have use of the kitchen, meeting room and indoor activity room. No ranges, indoor or outdoor, are to be used.

Please contact Matt or John about cleaning. If you have been on the list in the past and wish to continue, please check and make sure you are still on it. If you no longer wish to clean, please cross out your name so they can add a new person. If you call and there is no answer, please leave a message. You will not get any credit hours for cleaning if you do not speak to one of them before and after you do your cleaning.

***PAPER TARGETS ONLY ARE ALLOWED ON THE RIFLE RANGE!!***
Paper targets only to be used on the rifle range. No reactionary targets of any kind. NO EXCEPTIONS. Wood or plastic target frames only. NO METAL. If you have large, bulky items of trash to dispose of, such as, but not limited to, cardboard, wood or metal stakes, buckets, etc., please put these items in the dumpster and NOT in the trash cans, as they take up too much room in the cans.

Trap is open to the public on Wednesdays and Sunday’s beginning at 9:00 AM. Fee is $5.00 per round. Help is needed to load the trap houses and score. Good way to get work hours in. Make arrangements ahead of time with Dale for the date and time you would like to help by contracting him for approval.

R1/2 member -15 year’s continuous membership and 65 years of age or older (with all 10 hours worked): $30.00
Regular member (with all 10 hours worked): $60.00
Spousal member (with all 10 hours worked): $36.00
New membership dues are as followed….
New single membership dues: $176.00
New spousal membership dues with both people new to club (2 keys, 2 member cards, 2 badges): $288.00
New spousal membership dues with one spouse already a member: $112.00
All probationary members are REQUIRED to work their hours their first year. You CANNOT buy your hours as a probationary member. Dues must be cash or check (written out to Fish and Game Club of Vienna).
Replacement gate key: $2.00
