Big weekend last weekend at with for Hangloose Racing as we took our first podium with a P2 in class!
The weekend started out great with a solid 3rd place for qualifying, but we had some challenges during the first race on Saturday including wheels that were sent with the wrong hub bore ( 😡) forcing us to swap tires to an old set of wheels first thing in the morning, missing grid by a few minutes and starting us in last place. During that stint we had climbed back up to P1 in class but a bad crash saw us out for an hour and a half while we made the car drivable again.
Day 2 went much better, still starting from the back of the pack but the day went smoothly and we ended up P2 in class for our first podium (and first hardware!). We also got the Hard Charger award for most positions gained in the overall race!
A great weekend and we can’t wait to get out to another AER event as soon as possible!
