Pilates Fix by Parnaz is CLOSING with last day being Thursday 8/28/25.
WARNING this is long 😢
It is with the saddest heart to close the doors to this chapter of my life that has been everything to me. What a journey this has been. I’ve been reminiscing on all the phases and all the people.
🌟 If you have been a part of this journey at any point, I would love you to share a memory or how my Pilates classes helped you 💫
Together we sure achieved more than we ever thought we could. I always thought I would do this forever. We even would joke and say if we have to do a wheel chair Pilates class then so be it as long as we are doing Pilates together. This Pilates journey started out with mat Pilates in various locations until it found its home at Gels Dance Centre thanks to kindness and generosity of Gel Tracewell. I knew we could incorporate the principles of Pilates and do much more fun styles of workouts. As time went on, cardio Pilates, Pilates with weights, stations, barre Pilates, wall Pilates, stretch and mobility, PiYo, Club P and Chair Pilates followed. Through the years I’ve been honored to serve this community by helping all ages from young to senior citizens. Daily classes, private lessons (from injured athletes to athletes needing improvement to people just wanting to get started to Senior citizens) , core camps (ages 4-19), various middle school and high school sports team conditioning, many fun community events and let’s not forget the pushups and plank challenges. When Covid happened, it didn’t stop us. I was determined to keep us going. I offered free classes daily online and available to everyone for almost a year with videos saved for you to go back to anytime you desired.
When I discovered Pilates, I was at my weakest lowest point of my life with potential surgery awaiting me. However, I can honestly say Pilates saved me by healing me in ways I never thought possible. I made it my goal to pass on the benefits of Pilates to as many people as I could, trying to reach the younger generation while teaching elderly that it’s never too late to start.
17 years of teaching all by myself wearing many hats at the same time to run this business. It has been so rewarding and fulfilling to see the transformations and the unimaginable happen. We celebrated every milestone achieved and every goal reached. We laughed together, cheered together, cried together, had “fun” together and did life together becoming family and an incredible community that supported and held each other accountable. It has been an honor to be your Pilates teacher. Life lately is calling me to another direction. I want to make more time for my family. I need to take care of myself. In the midst of all the fun somehow I lost myself and put myself last for way too long. I need to slow down and that’s what I’m gonna do. I plan to cut back quite a bit and only teach a couple of classes at PKB Pilates. I feel so lucky and blessed to finally have a partner for the first time after 17 years!!! I love the Pilates Studio Leah Craw has built. It’s so charming, aesthetic, and gives the best vibes and a calm atmosphere. I’m so excited to be a part of it with her. We would love to have you come visit us there (pkbpilates.com)🤗
To my OG group… you all will hold the most special part in my heart as you were the troopers who stuck with me through all the trials and ups and downs. The memories we made are priceless 🥹. To all my clients who came to me for a reason, for a season, or for a lifetime… THANK YOU for teaching me patience and how to be a better person and teacher. Thank you for trusting in me for your health/fitness plans. Thank you for your loyalty and friendship through the years. I have learned so much from each and every one of you and because of YOU, this business was able to grow and improve. And finally after many years, the unimaginable happened where I received the Marietta Readers Choice most voted Award for being the best gym and Pilates studio twice last year🤩. I feel that I have accomplished everything I wanted and dreamed of and plan to continue spreading my love for Pilates but at a much slower pace now.
I hope I was able to teach you how to breathe.
I hope I was able to teach you how to engage your core.
I hope I was able to have you discover muscles you didn’t know existed.
I hope you feel stronger than before.
I hope you feel more coordinated.
I hope you have noticed improvement in your posture and every day movement.
I hope I was able to teach you the importance of being mobile and flexible.
I hope I was able to teach you how to give your spine TLC every day.
I hope I was able to alleviate your aches and pains.
I hope that I taught you the importance of consistency and accountability.
I hope through this you found balance in life and in yourself.
I hope you feel more confident.
I hope you found in me someone you can trust and count on.
I hope you looked forward to class each time.
I hope you found my space safe and relaxing.
I hope you will continue to stretch and strengthen but most importantly…
I hope you plank.
I HOPE … 🤗
