Thanks to your support, we were able to provide two amazing dinners for 9 of us at the State Track Meet. Fueling our program takes a village, and we are so grateful to have partners like you stepping up to support our athletes and staff.

Congratulations to Brodie Ferguson on an outstanding performance at the UIL State Track Meet! Brodie earned a 7th place finish in the 300m hurdles while representing Pirate Nation with determination, grit, and hard work on the biggest stage. Congratulations to Vidor High School Sophomore and Lady Pirate Jaislyn Heater on an incredible performance at the UIL State Track Meet in Austin! Jaislyn finished 4th place in Triple Jump while also breaking her own school record with an outstanding jump of 39’ 5.75”! Your hard work, dedication, and determination continue to make Pirate Nation proud.

REGIONAL MEET RECAP – PIRATES SHOWED OUT!!

What a HUGE weekend for our Pirates at the Regional Track Meet! These athletes showed grit, heart, and determination—and made HISTORY along the way!

BOYS HIGHLIGHTS
The 4x400m Relay Team brought the heat, placing 3rd overall AND setting a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 3:21.47! This time eclipsed their previous record by almost 5 seconds!
Shoutout to Brodie Ferguson, Zane Williamson, Gavin Cook, & Shay Stacy for an unforgettable, record-breaking season!
In the 300m Hurdles, Brodie Ferguson raced his way to 3rd place with a time of 37.56, earning the WILD CARD spot to STATE!
He now holds the school record alongside Shay Stacy!
Shay Stacy also had an incredible race, placing 4th. While just missing state, his senior season was nothing short of outstanding. Shay, your impact on this program is huge. We’re proud of you and excited for what’s next at the collegiate level!
Zane Williamson battled hard in the 800m, finishing 12th in the region.
Gavin Cook competed tough in the Triple Jump, placing 13th.

LADY PIRATES SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT!
JAISLYN HEATER = STATE BOUND!!
She soared to 2nd place in Triple Jump with a SCHOOL RECORD leap of 38’8”, absolutely CRUSHING the previous record of 36’10”!
In High Jump, Jaislyn Heater placed 5thsnd Daphney Arrant placed 8th. Aubri Fraser put in work, finishing 7th overall in Shot Put.
Gianna Roche blazed the track in the 400m dash, placing 6th and setting a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 60.43!

We are beyond proud of ALL our Pirates! This was an incredible showing in the 2nd round of playoffs, and the best is STILL ahead…

Huge CONGRATS to Brodie Ferguson for punching his ticket to the STATE MEET as a Wild Card in the 300M Hurdles!!
Running a blazing 37.56, Brodie posted the 3rd fastest time across ALL four regions — and now he’s headed to AUSTIN!!
Let’s GOOOOOOO!!! We are FIRED UP and ready to see him compete on the BIG stage!!

Today was a great day for our track team! The conditions weren’t ideal, but these athletes showed grit, determination, and heart—nothing was going to stop them.

🔥 Advancing to Finals & Record Breakers 🔥
The boys 4x400 relay team (Brodie Ferguson, Zane Williamson, Gavin Cook, & Shay Stacy) is headed to finals after setting a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 3:24.38!
Gianna Roche crushed it with a NEW SCHOOL RECORD in the 400m, running 60.43 and advancing to finals.
In the 300 hurdles:
Shay Stacy set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 37.56, advancing to finals.
Brodie Ferguson ran a strong 38.53 and is also moving on to finals.
