Now that we’ve had a day or two to reflect on our first horsemanship clinic here at RCR, I’d like to share some token experiences from this weekend.
1. Passion
Every single participant, whether an auditor or rider was absolutely passionate about learning and improving their relationship with their horse.
2. Coach-ability
No excuses, no buts, just a willingness to try something new. Being open to constructive criticism can be hard and these folks were so receptive!
3. Community
We had young riders, seasoned riders, riders who are a only a year into horses, and riders who have struggled with confidence but all of them took the space to cheer eachother on, share their experiences, and be supportive of everyone else’s experiences.
4. Gratitude
I am so incredibly grateful that this is my job and that I get to help change peoples experiences with their horses. The amount of thank you’s and appreciation we received over the past few days have been immense, so thank you.
Overall this clinic was a wonderful start to the many more learning opportunities we hope to offer at RCR and I can’t wait to see who we help in the future!
A huge thank you to Maelyn with Amavi Film for taking these amazing pictures for us- more on the way!!
