We are a 501(c)(3) providing Adaptive / Therapeutic Horsemanship to Veterans, First Responders, and individuals with additional physical, mental, or social / emotional needs. We are a newly established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and PATH International Member Center making horsemanship accessible to individuals with additional physical, mental, or social / emotional needs. We serve youth and

adults, Veterans, and First Responders, helping them achieve their therapeutic goals through engagement with equine partners under the supervision of a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.

It takes special talent and the right amount of luck to get a 15,000 pound roller stuck! But, here at Aspen Trail, we don't settle for ordinary.

Fortunately, a good shovel and a lot of sweat got it back out quickly. Now we'll wait for it to dry a little, spread it back out with the box blade, and then roll it again. Onward!

While operating the heavy equipment is fun, we're really looking forward to photos of the horses and their human partners in this arena!!

The base materials and the equipment are performing as they should. The base should be completely finished by tonight, and then we'll give it a day or two to set, and then the sand!

As we gear up to resume lessons, we wanted to take a minute to let you know how your support helps our students. Typical riding lessons can cost $100 -$120 an hour, and more, depending on the riding discipline, and there aren't a lot of opportunities for individuals with additional needs.

We make horsemanship accessible with an instructor and volunteers trained in therapeutic / adaptive riding for students with a wide range of diagnoses. Our costs, including specialized insurance, adaptive equipment, training and continuing education for our staff, and the care and feeding of our horses, would be prohibitive to our students - so we charge only $30 per lesson.

Our hosts are generously providing their property and financing the new arena and facilities for the program's use - so your contributions will not be used for property improvements. Your donation goes directly toward offsetting our operational costs and caring for our equine partners, so our students can continue to participate at a reduced rate.
