Sometimes the limits we put on ourselves happen so gradually, we don’t even notice them.
✓ You start taking the railing every time.
✓ You stop getting down on the floor.
✓ You let someone else carry the heavier bag.
✓ You avoid a movement because it’s been a while.
And eventually, something you simply stopped doing can start feeling like something you’re no longer capable of doing.
Of course, there are real injuries, conditions, and limitations that need to be respected. This isn’t about ignoring those or forcing your body through something that doesn’t feel right.
It’s about staying curious before automatically deciding, “I can’t do that anymore.”
Maybe your body needs more strength. Maybe it needs practice. Maybe it needs a different approach.
Or maybe it just needs the opportunity to show you what it can still do.
What’s something you haven’t done in a while that you’d love to try again?
