Thank you to everyone for the well wishes!
As many people know and a good number don’t know, Infusion is no longer going to be offering group classes. Our corporate team building/self-defense workshops and public self-defense will continue, but our group training sessions will no longer be taking place.
As of Monday, October 9, I will be changing my primary focus to teaching students with special needs, primarily on the autism spectrum and for of all ages. I have been working with members of the autism spectrum community for over 15 years and have loved it.
The reason for my transition is my family. By making this transition, I will be able to spend more time with m family. I love them dearly. I want to coach my daughter’s soccer team, take her to school, see her upcoming concerts and plays. I want to spend time with them during the evening before our daughter has already been asleep for two hours. I would like to act in community theater with my wife and daughter,… so many things I want to share.
For me to make this happen, I have had to make the difficult decision to close our martial arts academy.
I will remain active in the martial arts community. I will continue to teach adaptive martial arts to those with special needs as well as continuing to teach private training sessions for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, fitness as well as corporate, individual and small group self-defense.
Superhero Martial Arts is the entity I will be teaching the adaptive martial arts through. I will be teaching out of several venues in the greater Madison area to better provide access to the current clients I already serve.
I need to thank the Mount Horeb, Verona, the greater Madison area and the state of Wisconsin for all of the support over the past 12 years as Infusion Martial Arts. I can not say enough positive things to accurately represent the incredible black belts and students that have been turned out by Infusion Martial Arts and everything these people do on a daily basis to improve the communities and people around them. To you, I am honored and feel privileged to have been able to share my experiences and the knowledge I have gained over the past 35 years. I hope that it has improved your life.
To my instructors, my employees (Gabriel Helmich and Julie Johnson), to my parents (Candice & Dan Tracy) and wife, (Dera Johnsen-Tracy), thank you for providing me the skills, support and platform to better serve and inspire those around me….
On to the next chapter!
