Ian's Pizza Verona Youth Football Team of the Week

Verona’s 7th grade Wildcat Orange opened season beating Milton 8 to 6. Jack Flynn scored on a 3-yard pass from Sam Rockwell with just minutes to play. The TD set up by long runs from AJ Hudson and Carter Clark. Sam Rockwell put the Wildcats ahead with his kick for the extra point.

Milton got the ball with around 2 minutes left and quickly moved the ball to the Verona 6. Having With 4 plays from the Verona 6-yard line the Wildcat defense stood tall, taking advantage of great plays by Max Miller, Elijah Mellon, and Andrew Brink.

The hard work has been put in. The laughs have been shared. New friendships have been made. Confidence has grown. And now… it’s time for football. 🏈

As camp comes to a close, we couldn’t be more proud of every athlete who showed up ready to learn, work hard, and be part of something bigger than themselves. Watching these kids grow—not just as football players, but as teammates and young leaders—has been the best part of this journey.

To our players: thank you for your effort, your energy, and your heart. To our coaches, volunteers, and families: thank you for investing your time and believing in these amazing kids.

Camp may be over, but this is only the beginning.

We are beyond excited to kick off the 2026 Wildcat Youth Football season and can’t wait to watch these incredible athletes shine. Let’s make this a season to remember!
