I have had few clients reach out frantically asking if their G***ks are now going to be banned with a new proposed law.

My People. It is NOT about just G***ks, dont feel personally attacked, you are not that special just because you have a G***k :)

Seriously so, New proposed bill HB4471 covers ANY pistol that can be converted. In my last post I provided all of the needed information on this bill. Go and let your state reps know how you feel about it. It is super easy, those of you that hate talking to people method mentioned in that post allows you to retain your sanity and just talk to a screen in front of you :)

If you are an IL resident, or someone that knows that cancer spreads, listen up.

IL democrats have proposed new bill, HB4471, that targets not what is, but what could be. What I mean by that is they want to make it illegal to sell/posses any "convertible pistol"

what is "convertible pistol" you ask? It is any pistol that can be modified to make it go full auto.

This is where the problem is. There is already a law on the books that prohibits those switches. It is covered under Federal law and it is covered under IL law already. 720 Ill. Comp. Stat. 5/24-1(a)(7)(i) link would be in the comments for you to validate this.

Basically what they are saying, if you can do this to a pistol you already have, it is now going to be illegal. We dont castrate man because they can r**e. we still use airplanes even so it has been proven that they can be used as guided missiles. We do not ban kitchen knifes because you can butcher someone with it. need I go on? I think not as you got the point.

With a stroke of a pen, this bill will make every single one of you that owns a pistol a criminal simply because you COULD.

Thank you Streamlight, Inc. for sending me a replacement lens because my melted down.

New lens came with an Allen wrench and no directions. No directions part is neither here or there as it is really 4 bolts. It would have been handy to know I needed to use some force, or there might be a magic move during re-assembly. There is a pin on the inside closer to the front, and I guess it has to be man handled to get into the hole. Besides that little issue, it was an easy change.

I ended up using my armorer tools to get the job done as little Allen wrench is well, little. Took time to clean out on the inside some dust that got collected over the years. Unit is really nicely sealed on the inside, forgot to take picture.

Now my light is back to 100% once again.

This is an 8 rounds of deliberate fire of 2 at a time from 21, 30, 45, and 75 feet from an identical copy of what I carry which is P365Macro with 507K dot.

We will talk more next week on training and distance shots
