This month, we want to honor our member Jason Smith for his dedication to fitness and the positivity he brings to our facility! π΅ How long have you been a member of Lakeview Fitness?
It will be four years this coming February. March will mark my four-year anniversary training with Andre as well.
π΅ What is your favorite thing to do while you are here? Classes, activities, programs?
My favorite thing by far is strength training twice a week with my personal trainer, Andre G. He is not only a fantastic trainer, but also very respectful, helpful, and kind, and I consider him my friend. I look forward to every one of our workouts, even though I know they wonβt be easy!
π΅ Whatβs one small win youβve had since joining?
There have only been big wins! The amount of muscle Iβve put on thanks to Andreβs training program is incredible. When I first started, I was hoping to gain some strength and muscle, but the gains Iβve achieved are far beyond my wildest dreams. And weβre not done yet β Andre continues to guide me to new personal records on a nearly weekly basis, sometimes achieving multiple PRs in a single session!
π΅ How has fitness impacted your life outside the gym?
Thanks to Andreβs conditioning program, I am not only much stronger, but I am in better physical shape now at age 51 than I was 25 years ago. I have more energy and stamina, and I even jog from the car to the store and back when Iβm shopping. During the most recent snowstorm, I shoveled my entire property without becoming winded. I also enjoy volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, where I get an extra workout carrying 35-pound boxes for an hour. In addition, I help out with heavy jobs at my church.
