If you stick by this one rule, you will not have a problem staying healthy…

Golden Rule: it’s never all or nothing, it’s about always doing SOMETHING.

So often if we can’t do it all, we don’t do any of it. But why?

When a client has difficulty getting their workouts in, or eating the right food, or reducing alcohol intake, we will often aim for smaller goals first until momentum is found.

This could mean going to the gym and aiming to do at least ONE exercise and then building upon that. Or perhaps reducing your alcohol intake from 6 drinks to 4, saving you thousands of calories each week and pounds of fat each year. Or maybe it is simply waking up early enough so that you COULD go to the gym so you build a healthy circadian rhythm that supports a stronger metabolism and better brain functionality.

Is it harder to get into shape with kids? Duh…it’s harder to p**p with kids! 🫣

But so often we think we have to choose health or our kids, never both…and that is a lie society has sold us but also a lie we in part, want to believe. It’s an easy way out to indulge, choose the lazier route, or to give in to the pillow.

Yet in the same breath we speak of how strong, resilient, and resourceful we are…

We can have both, we just have to want it. And in turn, imagine what your kids will not have to struggle with in their adulthood because of the example you set valuing your health?

We give no option for homework - why not health? What are you teaching your kids to value?

If someone has done military service,

They sacrificed the comforts we enjoy;
The list is long of all the things they gave.

When terror and invasion were real threats,

We owe our freedoms and our very lives

Our veterans should be celebrities;

👨‍🦲😵 Too young to have a receding hairline?
Many don’t link premature balding to their thyroid but a lot of your hair health depends on your thyroid.

A thyroid that is too fast may produce greasy hair, whereas a slower thyroid may produce dry skin and scalp.

But premature balding in particular, is often caused by DHT build up in the body which shrinks and weakens the hair follicle leading it to fall out.

When the thyroid is too fast, it increases the production of an enzyme called 5a-Reductase which increases the conversion of DHT in the cell.

When the thyroid is too slow, the body will not grow hair or replace lost hair as fast, thus leading less and less overtime.
