This Memorial Day weekend, the Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club made the trip down to Newport Beach to compete in the NAC + OpenWater Memorial Day Race. This race is more than just a paddle. It's a meaningful tribute to raise money and awareness to support local First Responders and Military families. Four miles of flat water, good competition, and even better company.

A huge thank you to Newport Aquatic Center and OpenWater for putting on such a special event, and to the VCKC members and their families who showed up and represented our club with heart.

This same weekend, our very own Coach Lynn completed the 100-mile California River Quest. Paddling from Redding to Chico, CA, in 12 hours was a tremendous feat! Great job, Coach Lynn!!!

Our Summer Recruitment Class is open for sign ups! We run a week-long class/camp from Monday through Friday, June 8th - 12th, from 8:30 to 10:30.
