12 miles carrying these packs to start the race. They include food, water, packraft, pfd, paddles, water shoes, and other mandatory safety gear.

We are setting up camp at the start/finish line.
Race starts at 6:20 am mountain time. I also finally got to meet Craig, our third teammate (not pictured).

Arrived in Idaho Falls. Playing with our rental packrafts. We explored how to inflate, how to attach our gear, how to deflate, and how to pack them in our race backpacks. All this leads to quicker and smoother transitions. 2 days until the Teton Ogre.
Tomorrow we will grocery shop for race food, set up camp at the start line in Irwin, check in, pre-race meeting, and bike drop.

On Saturday, July 25 - 26 Los Padres Locos will be doing a 26 hour adventure race in Swan Valley, Idaho. We will be trekking, mountain biking, and packrafting through part of the Tetons. Our team for the race is Jeff Linder, Al Trevison, and Craig Orum.

Los Padres Locos training day. So grateful for the Ventura Land Trust for building the local trail system. We went on 23 miles of their trails today.

Our next race is the Teton Ogre Adventure Race in Swan Valley, Idaho. It is a 26 hour race. Race starts at 6:00 am on July 25. We will post race updates and the live tracking link here.
