I'm sorry to report that we did not reach our goal of making it to the final 4 national rugby championships. My boys played a physically larger team that was as equally skilled and fit as we were. With 2 minutes left in the match, the score was 17-17. Syracuse crossed the line to score and make the conversion and acquire the lead 24 -17. In rugby, the team that gets scored upon kicks the ball back to the scoring team and somehow the Sharks recovered the ball and marched down the field in a last minute effort to tie the game. In extra time, the Shark's lost the ball and the game was over. Cheers to Syracuse and good luck in the national championships!

This is the week! Jersey Shore Sharks Rugby team plays Lehigh Valley for the Championship title this Saturday. Winners advance to the Super Regionals in Buffalo, NY. The Sharks, went undefeated in league play and have won their last 12 matches.
