Luteal Phase Salad w/ Ground Turkey & Greek Chickpeas

Why these ingredients are good for your luteal phase:
• Ground turkey — protein + zinc to ease fatigue and stabilize blood sugar (curbing sweet cravings)
• Avocado — healthy fats + magnesium, which drops in the luteal phase and triggers headaches
• Chickpeas — complex carbs satisfy sweet cravings without the crash; also rich in B6 for mood
• Pickled onions — probiotics support gut health, which fluctuates hormonally
• Lemon/lime — vitamin C helps iron absorption and reduces bloating
• Cumin + parsley — anti-inflammatory and digestive support

Recipe (I measure with my heart):
1. Chopped lettuce
2. Ground Turkey (warm)
3. Avocado
4. Greek Chickpeas (store bought from Aldi)

My tip 3 reasons for meal prepping…

1. No cooking during the week- having these meals ready for me when I get home after a long day allows me to have time for the more important things like time with my hubby and time to decompress.

2. Eliminates decision making- decision fatigue is real, and often leads to just picking something that is quick, thoughtless, and those options usually are limited or not the best for my fitness goals.

3. Knowing exactly what’s in my food- When I have certain goals I want to hit, I am able to manipulate the macros and also just knowing exactly what’s I’m consuming sometimes gives me piece of mind through so many unknown things in life!

It has been a while since I have felt this good about my progress, how I look, and how I feel🤭

It is so crazy that for the longest time I was feeling behind and like I wasn’t living up to my own standards for myself physically, mentally, and even as a personal trainer but I don’t feel that anymore. I can genuinely feel like I am exactly where I am supposed to be and that is with all glory to Jehovah👏🏽 He has placed me to be here where I am constantly learning, pushing, and finding new ways to see myself. While nothing in this life is perfect, I am grateful to be right here🩷
