✨ If you're new here, welcome! If we've known each other for a while, here's a little refresher on who I am and why I'm so passionate about what I do. 💙

Hi, I'm Andrea! 👋💙
I'm the owner and instructor behind ISR Venice, and I'm so grateful to do something that truly makes a difference every single day.

*What brought me to teaching ISR?
My ISR journey actually began as a parent. Both of my daughters completed ISR lessons with the most incredible instructor, and I was amazed by the confidence, independence, and life-saving skills they gained. As I got to know her and learned more about the ISR process, she encouraged me to become an instructor myself. Fourteen years later, I still wake up every day grateful that I said yes. Knowing that I have the opportunity to help children become safer around the water and give families peace of mind isn't just my career: it's my passion and purpose.

* My favorite part about teaching ISR?
Watching a child accomplish something they never thought they could do! Seeing their confidence grow, celebrating every milestone, and watching parents witness their child's progress is incredibly rewarding. Those moments never get old.

*A little about me...
I'm a proud mom of two amazing daughters (16 & 13) who keep me busy with volleyball, school, and all of life's adventures. We recently welcomed the newest member of our family, our puppy, Bradley, who definitely keeps us on our toes! When I'm not in the pool, you'll usually find me cheering at a volleyball court, spending time with my girls, or enjoying everything our beautiful Florida community has to offer.

SKILLS BEFORE THRILLS!

The layer of protection that ISR lessons give a child is priceless! We are not "Drown Proofing" your child, but we are giving them a chance if they ever get into a body of water alone. The leading cause of accidental death in children 0-5 is drowning! Equip your child with the skills to save themselves.

Did you know at the end of each baby/child's session, I get my swim parents in and teach them how to work with their child so that they not only can keep their skills sharp, but so that both the parents and ISR students can have fun in the pool while using their skills! The goal is for the child to know using their skills is fun! 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

There is one thing we don't often talk about when it comes to ISR lessons because it is not really water-related. CONFIDENCE!

Most children when they come to me are very young, and this is the 1st real thing they are doing on their own, without mom and dad, right there to help them along the way. They are learning and using this skill all by themselves. The confidence they gain in the water also shows out of it. Parents and teachers especially notice and comment on the confidence these little ones display after a few short weeks in lessons!

At the end of lessons, all that confidence shows through, when they receive their trophy for completing the 1st part of ISR lessons! Mr. G was so confident and proud of his skills and of course, his trophy; that he carried it all night, showing it off to everyone in downtown Venice! 🏆🏆🏆
