406 Vaulting Club Originally started in 2020 as the first Horse Vaulting Club in Montana and revamped in 2023 as a nonprofit organization.

Horse vaulting can be described as gymnastics and dance on horseback. Focusing on safety, horse harmony, correct skills & individuals.

Our first horse camp is almost over and what a week it has been. Thank you to 406 Arena co hosting a marvelous opportunity! We did a vaulting and riding camp combined with focus on safety, horsemanship and care. We learned about catching, leading, tying, grooming and tacking our horses. We had riding and vaulting every day! It was busy and so much fun

In April our canter vaulters had the opportunity to travel to Colorado and borrow horse time for the Wintergreen competition. So much fun, new friends, new horses and hopefully a new tradition. What a busy week. One of our vaulters traveled to Colorado to compete in the Rocky Mountain Cup CVI competition. He received scores to move up from 1* to 2*. He was blessed to use some incredible horses and their generous lungers.
Looking forward to Heart of the Rockies Competition Saturday and Sunday when other team members will also compete.

One of the best things about attending the Oak Hills Classic Competition was getting to spend some time with our two horses in training with Todd Griffiths. Dante got to stay home in Montana and relax 😎 as we didn’t need the horse space. We were also able to share our horses with Salt Creek Vaulters, Hope Mountain Vaulters and Oak Hills Vaulters. We were even lucky enough to have Todd Lunge for our canter kids and help all the “new to competition” lungers through the weekend. All four of our horses competed in Pas De Deux at the Oak Hills Classic this last weekend. Special thanks to all who made that possible! The vaulters, coaches, lungers, boosters, mentors and horses put in the time and effort.
Dresden at walk, Marina and Navarre at trot, and Percy at canter. It was first time competing for all the groups and we are so proud of their bravery, commitment and determination to continue improving and helping our horses do the same.
