****Fur Market Update***

I have been getting calls messages and texts about fur lately. If you want prime fur it is definitely “go” time. However, the market for a lot of goods is still incredibly soft.

I will not be buying any carcass animals this year other than porcupines.

My recommendation is to put up your catch and send it to the Montana Trappers Association Fur Auction later this winter. The MTA is a great organization and if the market does increase you should be able to reap the reward of that at the sale.

I will be catching a few coyotes to scratch the itch and that’s where mine will go.

Good luck this season!

Getting lots of calls and messages on coyotes. I am not buying any coyotes this year on the carcass. I doubt I will buy many even put up.

I am still buying whole porcupines.

Thanks

I put together another quick video on fireforming but this time I am using corn meal rather than a bullet to make my .400 Whelen cases...

An alternative method from our previous video. This method doesn’t use any bullets for fireforming. This makes nice brass and saves on component costs.
