Start with a beautiful ferry ride (be in ferry line at least 45 min early, ferry schedule on line) to picturesque Vashon Island and a short drive along tree lined roads and beside the beach to beautiful Quartermaster Harbor. On the beach learn about shellfish harvesting first hand. First we dig 25 manila clams. They are only 3 inches deep so that doesn't take long. Then we follow the tide out to gather 25 nice big pacific oysters and at very low tide we dig 3 feet deep for three 3-5 pound giant geoduck . We have all the supplies and help to make it fun and easy for you. Just bring weather appropriate beach/rain clothes/shoes. Restroom on site. No kitchen.
400 foot walk to grocery store, restaurant/inn.
25 dozen manila clams
25 dozen large pacific oysters
3 huge 3-5 pound geoduck
We don't sell the shellfish we sell the fun experience of harvesting them. Total donation $99 each. Call me Bill Rowling for your reservation. 253-677-0205
