1st Post on Left Hook Boxing!! This past Saturday ( Halloween ) Boxing put on a show!! There were a few world title bouts Saturday! 3 big fight cards on 3 different networks! 1st Card in London on DAZN. Oleksander Usyk vs Derek Chisora. Usyk the former gold medalist at Heavyweight! Winner of the WBS at Heavyweight! As a professional boxer he has attained all 4 major championship belts the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF. In the cruiserweight division the only boxer in history to win all 4 major titles at cruiserweight. Now Usyk is going for the Heavyweight championship!! And Saturday marked his 2 nd fight in the heavyweight division! Against a veteran heavyweight who has fought for the title and has fought against current and former heavyweight world champions! Like Vitaly Klitschko, David Hate, Tyson Fury. Derek Chisora has fought some of the very best! At 6'3 and 217 pounds Usyk is extremely undersized for today's heavyweight champions! 6'6 - 237 pounds Anthony Joshua. And 6'9 - 254 pounds Tyson Fury. Yet the determined Usyk is looking to become undisputed heavyweight champion! Just like he was at cruiserweight. Saturday night he took a step towards a showdown with Anthony Joshua, by easily defeating Derek Chisora in a 12 round unanimous decision! Chisora came out swinging for the fences as usual looking for the one punch K.O. against Usyk, Chisora did land some very hard shots in rounds 1, 2, and 3, by the middle of the 3rd round however Usyk had figured out the rhythm and timing of the much heavier and stronger Chisora, and it was in that 3rd round that Usyk started to land his punches also started to make Chisora Miss badly. Starting the 4 th round it was now Usyks fight, and he would land more punches as the fight progressed and Chisora would miss More punches as the fight progressed so much so that after the 11th round it didn't look like Chisora would even come out for the 12 and final round, He did finish the fight! Can Usyk become the heavyweight champion?
