Game 2 Recap: Butler Softball Club 12U vs. Springfield Renegades 12U

The girls delivered a complete team performance on Tuesday in Game 2 of the evening, defeating the Springfield Renegades 12U 7-1.

The girls wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning. Dani B tripled down the right field line, and Avery V added an RBI to give the team an early advantage. The offense stayed hot throughout the game, highlighted by Dani’s inside-the-park home run in the third inning that drove in two runs.

Lincoln F was dominant in the circle, earning the win after allowing just one run on three hits over 4⅔ innings. She struck out nine batters while walking only one.

The Butler offense collected 11 hits on the night. Ella C, Dani B, Avery V, and Lexie S each recorded two hits. While Alaya W, Lilly S, and Scarlett P all had one hit. Dani led the way on offense with three RBIs while going 2-for-3 at the plate. Ella C and Lexie S were perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 on the night. Daylee H showed great patience, drawing two walks as Butler totaled five walks as a team.

The girls were aggressive on the bases once again, swiping six stolen bases, including two by Ella C. Defensively, Butler was flawless, not committing a single error in the field.

A strong performance in all phases of the game helped Butler secure the 7-1 victory and finish the evening 2-0 with another impressive team win. 🥎💜💛🥎

Game 1 Recap: Butler Softball Club 12U vs. Southwest Outlaws McCoy 12U

The girls battled back from an early deficit to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Southwest Outlaws McCoy 12U last night.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first two innings, the girls responded in the bottom of the third. Key singles from Lizzy E and Dani B helped spark a three-run inning that gave Butler a 3-2 lead they would not surrender.

Lilly S was outstanding in the circle, tossing a complete game while striking out 10 batters. She allowed just two hits and two runs over five innings for the team.

At the plate, Lizzy led the way, going 1-for-1 with two RBIs. Ella C, Haven S, Dani B, Lexie S, and Lizzy E each collected a hit. The team was aggressive on the bases, swiping six stolen bases, including two from Daylee H.

Defensively, the girls played a clean game without committing an error. Ella C anchored the defense and led the team with 12 fielding chances from behind the plate.

A complete team effort secured the 3-2 win and showcased the team’s resilience, aggressive baserunning, strong defense, and dominant pitching. 🥎💜💛🥎

This weekend wasn’t always easy on the softball field, but one thing never changed: the girls never quit!

No matter the score, the situation, the weather, or the challenges they faced. They continued to battle for each other until the final out or the final second on the game clock. The resilience, heart, and teamwork they showed all weekend made us proud to be their coaches.

While the results on the field didn’t always go our way, the memories made off the field are what will last a lifetime. From team dinners and hotel fun to countless laughs and moments spent together, these girls continued to build friendships and bonds that go far beyond softball.

Proud of this team and excited for what’s to come. 💜💛🥎

Due to today’s rain storm, our second pool play game that was originally scheduled for 1:15 PM today has been moved to tomorrow morning at 12:00 PM.
