Eight years apart. Same final test. Same CFV standard.
One of the coolest moments of the 2026 CrossFit Games came in the final event of the Affiliate Cup: a repeat of the 2018 Games finale featuring worm lunges, thrusters, and burpees.
Separated by eight years, both CrossFit Fort Vancouver teams were motivated, methodical, and ready to fight for one another.
Neither team rushed the opening. Neither team panicked when others surged ahead. Both stayed disciplined, trusted the plan, and steadily moved closer to the top until they were battling for the heat win by the end.
Both teams placed in the top 3 overall, their best event finish of the Games.
And both teams were backed by the loudest, rowdiest, and most passionate support squad in the stadium.
That’s no coincidence.
The CrossFit Fort Vancouver team has always been much bigger than the four athletes in the arena. It’s built on the belief that we can accomplish more together than we ever could alone.
The strongest teams aren’t simply collections of talented individuals. They are groups of humble, hungry, awesome people whose shared pursuit of a common goal makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
Whether it’s 2018 or 2026, our values haven’t changed.
Mac, Josh, Taya, and Richelle, thank you for representing this community with humility, grit, and excellence. We are so proud of the way you carried the CrossFit Fort Vancouver name on and off the competition floor.
And Thank You to everyone over the years who has been part of this family we call CrossFit Fort Vancouver.
Humble. Hungry. Awesome. 👊
