DanceWorks Performing Arts Providing the highest quality dance education for every student, from recreational to pre-professional

For 29 years, DanceWorks Performing Arts has provided dance class lessons to Vancouver, Washington. DanceWorks dancers learn patience, discipline, teamwork and self-motivation. DanceWorks lessons in Vancouver have developed a reputation as some of Washington & Oregons top pre-professional classes. The primary goal is to produce versatile triple threat dancers, in a healthy, family oriented environment. Faculty at DanceWorks provide classes in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Aerial Silks & Musical Theatre, from toddler age to pre-professional.

October 26th–31st, we’re inviting our DanceWorks dancers to bring a friend to class for a week full of costumes, games, dancing, and FUN! ✨

Strong pointe work starts long before the pointe shoes go on. 🩰✨

Our dancers have been putting in the work in Pre-Pointe with Miss Savannah, building the strength, stability, and technique needed to safely prepare their bodies for the demands of pointe work.

A big part of that preparation is PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), a Pilates-based strength and conditioning method incorporated into our curriculum to help dancers develop the physical foundations they need before progressing to pointe.

It’s one of the many ways our first value, Education First, is built directly into our schedule and curriculum: giving dancers the tools, knowledge, and strength to progress thoughtfully and safely.

✨ Introducing The DanceWorks Way ✨

One month into Season 33, our studios are buzzing, our dancers are growing, and we’re excited to officially introduce the values that guide everything we do at DanceWorks Performing Arts.

These values aren’t new to who we are. In so many ways, they already live in our classrooms, our faculty, our dancers, and our community. But this year, we’re being even more intentional about naming them, celebrating them, and continuing to strengthen the incredible culture we’ve built together.

Each month, we’ll dive deeper into one of our DanceWorks Way values through conversations in the classroom, moments around the studio, and here on social media.

And this October, we’re starting with one of the values at the very heart of what we do: Education First. 📚✨

Keep an eye out this month as we share more about what Education First means at DanceWorks and how it shows up in the way we teach, learn, grow, and support our dancers.
