We've introduced you to the backwoodsman of Kinniconick.

Then we shared the fight that changed everything.

But understanding Larkin Liles also means understanding the kind of man people remembered him to be.

**His Word Was His Bond.**

That's the next chapter in the story behind the name of our festival.

We're sharing this history because Larkin Liles isn't simply a name we thought sounded good on a music festival.

This story belongs to this place.

To Kinniconick Creek.

To Lewis County.

Sometimes the whole point is getting somewhere that isn't.

Wake up.

Make the coffee.

Walk down to Kinniconick Creek.

Watch the fog lift.

That's one of the best parts about coming to a music festival at a campground.

Bring the camper.

Enjoy the music.

Then when the stage goes quiet, walk back to your campsite.

Light the fire.

Sit around for a while.

And wake up at Riffel's the next morning.

That's how we think Larkin Liles should be experienced.

Riffel's offers **weekly and monthly camping**, and we're open through November 30.

Set up once.

Then you've got your own place to come back to each evening.

Yesterday we introduced you to the backwoodsman of Kinniconick whose name our festival carries.

But Larkin Liles' story didn't stay quiet.

There came a moment that changed everything.
