🦌 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – From Eastern North Carolina 🦆
To all our new neighbors who’ve recently migrated to Eastern NC 👋
Starting September 1, you’re going to notice men, women, and kids dressed head-to-toe in camouflage, gathered around fields, woods, and backroads.
🚨 DO NOT PANIC! 🚨
This is perfectly normal.
It’s been happening here since before recorded history — it’s called HUNTING. 🎯
You’ll see folks carrying bows, muskets, shotguns, rifles, and pistols.
They’ll be hunting everything from birds to bear.
Some will sit still. Some will stalk. Others will be working alongside loyal, trained dogs who track, drive, or retrieve game.
Once again for those in the back —
👉 DO NOT PANIC! 👈
⸻
🦌 If you don’t like hunting — don’t hunt.
🔫 If you don’t like fi****ms — don’t buy one.
🚪 If you don’t like the way we do things here — LEAVE.
🛣 I-95 will take you north.
🛣 I-40 will take you west.
✈️ An airplane will take you to another continent.
We don’t need a lecture about “how you did it up north or out west.”
If it was so great there, you’re welcome to head back.
⸻
⚠️ Do not interfere with these people.
It is against the law in North Carolina to obstruct or harass anyone lawfully taking wildlife.
⸻
Now, for those who are against hunting, here’s a simple question:
❓ Do you eat meat?
If your answer is yes, congratulations — you’re a hypocrite.
The only difference between you and a hunter is gumption.
A hunter has the backbone to harvest their own food.
Paying someone else to do your killing doesn’t make you morally superior.
Think about that next time you slip on your leather shoes, climb into your leather-seated SUV, or snuggle under that down comforter.
