🇺🇸⚾ America 250 Celebration at Vance Ballpark! ⚾🇺🇸

Baseball has been called America's pastime for generations so what better place to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday than right here at Vance Ballpark!

Join the City of Vance on Friday, July 3rd beginning at 6:30 PM for an evening of family fun, community fellowship, and patriotic celebration as we honor 250 years of American history.

The City of Vance will be providing:
🌭 Free hot dog meals
🍦 Free ice cream
✨ Free light-up wands
🐐 Free activities including a petting zoo, crafts, and more
🎖️ Veterans Recognition Ceremony at 7:30 PM
🎬 Outdoor showing of National Treasure at dark

While you're enjoying the festivities, the Vance Ballpark Concession Stand will also be open with additional drinks, snacks, and treats available for purchase.

For over a century, baseball diamonds have been gathering places where families, friends, and neighbors come together. As we celebrate America's Semiquincentennial we're proud to continue that tradition right here in Vance.

Bring your lawn chairs, bring your family, and come celebrate 250 years of freedom, community, and the American spirit with us!

The regular season is coming to an end, and now it’s time for End of Season Tournaments this week at Vance Ballpark!

This week is Municipal Government Week in Alabama, and we’re proud to recognize the important role local parks and recreation facilities play in building strong communities.

At Vance Ballpark we’re thankful for the support of the City of Vance and everyone who helps make our park a place where families can gather, kids can play, and our community can grow together.

Our park sits on roughly 14 acres and includes:
⚾ 4 ball fields
⚾ 5 batting cages, including 3 covered and lighted cages
🚶 Walking track
🛝 Playgrounds with plenty of swings for kids
🏠 Covered pavilion
💪 Workout equipment located along the walking track

From tee ball games and tournaments to evening walks and family outings, Vance Ballpark is more than just a sports complex. It’s a community gathering place.

We appreciate all of the municipal employees, volunteers, coaches, sponsors, and families who help keep our facilities running and continue investing in the next generation.

During Municipal Government Week, we encourage everyone to take pride in supporting local parks, recreation, and the people who work behind the scenes to make communities like Vance a great place to live, work, and play.

The banners are up and looking great around the park and we’re excited to continue adding more community partners throughout the season.

⚾️ Bracket play begins today in the Region 9 Mid-Season Tournaments! Teams have been seeded and will now be battling it out as they chase a spot in the championship round.

📍 Schedules are below so be sure to check game times and field locations before heading to the park.

🍔 Concessions will be open with your favorite food and drinks.

♿ Please continue to be respectful in the parking areas and leave handicap spaces available for those who need them.

⚾️ We’re back at it for Day 2 of the Region 9 Mid-Season Tournaments at Vance Ballpark! Yesterday brought plenty of good baseball and today promises more of the same.

We’re proud to welcome teams from Coaling, Tuscaloosa, Moundville, Taylorville, Woodstock, West Blocton, Cottondale, and Brookwood for what should be a great week of baseball, sportsmanship, and community.
