Congratulations Mighty Vandal Band!! 👏 👏
❤️🤍🎶 4TH IN STATE | BEST FINISH IN PROGRAM HISTORY! 🏆
VANDAL LAND, YOUR MIGHTY VANDAL BAND JUST MADE HISTORY!
The Mighty Vandal Band finished 4TH IN STATE at the UIL State Military Marching Band Competition — the BEST STATE FINISH IN PROGRAM HISTORY! ❤️🤍
And that history was earned one hour, one practice and one rep at a time.
We caught up with 2006 Vandal graduate and Band Director Nick Moore, who shared that since July, the band has invested more than 400 HOURS preparing for this season.
Today, 94 Bandals took the field, including 16 seniors who helped lead this special group through a history-making season.
Mr. Moore knows a little something about investing in the Mighty Vandal Band himself. He has poured into this program for the past 10 years, including the last four years as Band Director.
When asked to describe the 2026 Mighty Vandal Band, his answer was simple:
HARD WORKING.
Even through the Texas heat today, these kids never complained. They showed up, gave it everything they had and represented Vandal Land with excellence.
And today, ALL THAT HARD WORK PAID OFF! 🏆
4TH IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. BEST FINISH IN PROGRAM HISTORY.
We could not be more proud of our Bandals, directors and everyone who has invested countless hours into this incredible season.
