This morning was tough and emotional. Opening day of dove season was like Christmas to my son Kayden. 7 years ago he went on his first dove hunt in South Texas with me and we haven’t missed one since…. Until this season..
That first hunt will always be one to remember. He busted his first two and even peppered my truck!
I know you are watching down on me and the whole family, son. I love you and miss you with my whole heart. I know you wouldn’t mind but I think I may try to dust myself off and leave the Benelli in the safe and take yours out in the coming days.

I know I posted a reel about this earlier but I feel like explaining the picture.
Get yourself a Quincy Goodson. This morning was a rough one on me in light of recent events and it being opening day of dove season. I have some lease property that I let go this year and needed to get my stands and feeders off of. Quincy didn’t want me to go alone so he loaded up “Stink” and met me out there in the 100° heat.
No matter the circumstances, I know if I call, Quincy will break every law known to man to get to me and he knows it’s reciprocated. Brother I appreciate and love you more than you know. Thank you for always being there.
