I don’t believe I have introduced our new member of the family. Meet Zebra! He is a 17 year old paint pony gelding. Believe it or not, we owned him in 2008 as Claire’s first pony. After we sold him due to him being a stallion and too wild to handle, Zebra went through many homes. He lived in Texas, Bath NY, and Pennsylvania. About a month ago, we found him on Facebook at the Wyalusing sale. We hooked the trailer up and went and bought him. Knowing that he was crazy in the past, being a kicker and bucker, the plan was to break and sell him. Little did we know how much of a sweetheart he had became in the past 13 years. He comes when called, never kicks, joins us on trail rides, and even plays with our other horses. Zebra will soon learn to pull a pony cart, and he will spend the remainder of his life on our farm.
Side note: Yes, his name was Zebra when we first owned him. Keep in mind, he was named by me (Claire) when I was age 6. We decided to keep his name when we got him back 😊
