📣 NOW HIRING: Youth Athletics Trainer — VRM Strength & Fitness
We’re growing! VRM is looking for a part-time, certified trainer to lead our youth athletic development classes and personal training sessions.

If you love working with kids, know how to make training fun AND effective, and want to help the next generation of athletes get stronger, faster, and more confident — we want to hear from you.

The role:
• Lead youth evening classes for athletes ages 8–16
• Run 1:1 personal training sessions
• Coach and oversee workouts, ensuring safe technique and high energy
• Build a positive, motivating environment for young athletes
What we’re looking for:
• Current training certification (CPT, CSCS, or equivalent)
• Experience coaching youth or group fitness preferred
• Reliable, energetic, and great with kids
• Passion for strength, sport performance, and development
The details:
• Part-time — primarily evenings
• Up to $35/hour based on experience and certification
• Located inside Frozen Pond Arena, Valencia, PA

Murph was never meant to be about finishing first or doing it unbroken. It’s about showing up — for your community, for the person next to you, for something bigger than yourself.

This Memorial Day weekend, we honor Navy Lt. Michael P. Murphy and every service member who gave everything. The way we do it? Side by side. First-timers next to seasoned athletes. Scaled next to Rx’d. One community, one purpose.

🏒 ICE EDGE — Youth Hockey Off-Ice Development

Get your young athlete ready to dominate next season.
ICE EDGE is a 12-week progressive off-ice training program built for hockey players ages 10 and up. Located right inside Frozen Pond Arena at VRM Strength & Fitness in Valencia, PA.

Our 3-phase system builds speed, agility, and strength through coach-led sessions using squats, deadlifts, bench press, sled work, plyometrics, and game-intensity conditioning. Every session includes a structured warm-up, agility training, main strength work, and a hockey-style WOD.

📅 April 14 – July 2, 2026
🗓️ Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 10 & Under: 6:30–7:30 PM
⏰ Ages 11–14: 7:30–8:30 PM
⏰ Ages 15+: 8:30–9:30 PM

🐾 Meet the Newest VRM Coach: Monty

No certifications.
Zero burpees completed.
Elite-level vibes.

Introducing Coach Monty, our English Bulldog Director of Morale, Professional Floor Supervisor, and full-time reminder that rest days matter.

Monty’s coaching philosophy is simple:
Show up. Work hard. Nap harder.

Favorite Exercises:
✅ Bench press (excellent viewing angle)
✅ Farmer carries (great for inspecting dropped chalk)
✅ Sled pushes (only if someone else is pushing)
✅ Anything that involves laying directly in walkways

Least Favorite Exercises:
❌ Burpees (personal attack)
❌ Box jumps (absolutely not)
❌ Wall balls (too chaotic)
❌ Running. All forms.

He’ll be around offering silent judgment, accepting ear scratches between sets, and making sure no one skips cooldowns (because he’s already cooling down).

💯 100 Classes. One Powerful Reminder.

Huge congratulations to Laura on hitting her 100th class at VRM.

What makes this milestone special isn’t just the number—it’s what it represents.

Laura is proof that strength, progress, and confidence don’t belong to a specific age, background, or starting point. They belong to the people who decide to begin. Too many people talk themselves out of fitness with “I’m too old,” “I should’ve started earlier,” or “that ship has sailed.” Laura quietly shows that none of that is true.

Fitness doesn’t expire. It adapts.
Progress doesn’t judge your past.
The only real difference is the moment you choose to start.

100 classes in, Laura continues to show up, work hard, and set the standard—not by being loud about it, but by doing the work.
