The Viking Bass Team is at Lake Okeechobee this weekend, fishing the FBN state Championship. After day one, Jack Dowdy, and Wyatt Galbraith are leading the pack. Evan Bush, and Cason Thomas are setting in a very close 3rd place. These boys are as good as any team in the business, and are looking for an awesome day 2 to cap this thing off. Please keep them in your thoughts today as they fish in some projected stormy conditions.

4th and 10th place at Palatka today, fishing the Florida Bass Nation North trail. Mason Vitolo, and Parker Sharpe placed 4th and Jack Dowdy and Wyatt Galbraith placed 10th. Not bad for a fog delayed, windy tournament! On to Lake Seminole next weekend to start the GHSA season off. We may need some bear skin bibs to stay warm, but we will be there to compete.

Ok everyone. Just got off the call with fishing chaos. The important thing to do right now is to pay the state dues by becoming a member. The coaches feature is not active yet but will be after after tomorrow. I have another call that will be more in depth as they have added new features. Once the coaches feature is there you will request to be a coach (this is only for the directors of the clubs). Once I accept your request you will then be able to add your anglers to you and be able to register teams for all of the tournaments in the future. Also, anglers must pay their dues and join in order for us to be able to get them linked as their team. The plan is to have everything in order by tomorrow evening. Please keep emailing us your lists of anglers and who they are to be paired with. Thank you for your patience as this is definitely a learning experience for me. For now I was told the main thing is for everyone to pay the state dues in order to become a member.

There is a parking lot, behind the gym that you can access from the Texas Roadhouse side of the school. You can park there and walk up as well. The front lot is getting full fast.

Make sure to come in the main entrance to the school building this evening. The band is having a meeting in the cafeteria, and it could get confusing.

What a weekend! Here’s a photo dump below. All in all, Lowndes had 10 teams make it to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! One Junior Team (Parker Sharper and Mason Vitolo) and One High School Team (Jack Dowdy and Wyatt Galbraith) finished in the top 10 after a two day grind. All of our teams represented well.

Thank you parents for allowing your kids to fish and be apart of this team! Lip Rippers are the best!!!
