BEVC Kryptonite In 2013, the decision was made to develop a plan that would provide a foundation for club volleyball The name Kryptonite originated from our first 15U team.

In 2010 with the effort of several people, three teams were formed in what would be our inaugural season. Our teams were sponsored by the Draughn High School Athletic Boosters. These teams consisted of a Developmental team, a 14U team, and a 15U team. The first season was a huge success and provided a platform for future growth that would offer a high level of competition for athletes in our commu

nity. Our 14U and 15U teams played in the Carolina Region Volleyball Association. Our teams had continued success over the next several years. In 2013, the decision was made to develop a plan that would provide a foundation for club volleyball to exist in our community. This club will provide an opportunity to young female athletes who can pursue their passion for the sport. This year, our club was formely named Burke Elite Volleyball Club. To this day, we are still fortunate to be sponsored by the Draughn High School Athletic Boosters. This unique association allows us access to fantastic practice facilities and a support system that is second to none. The girls from that team decided that a team name should energize their efforts on the court. The name Kryptonite did just that. With the success the team had that first year, the other teams that moved up in the age groups wanted to continue with the team name. Team Kryptonite remained and became a recognizable name for our volleyball club.
