What an honor! Paul is a Valders High School graduate and competed on the first teams in school history. He placed twice at the state tournament, but made an even bigger impact as a coach.

2026 George Martin Hall of Fame Inductee: Paul Brandl
The Wisconsin Wrestling Association is pleased to announce our next 2026 George Martin Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee is Paul Brandl. Highlight's of Paul's nomination include:
-UW Madison-Assistant Coach under George Martin
-1960-70 Head Coach Greenfield High School
-1970-73 Head Coach Algoma High School
-1973-1977 Head Coach Plymouth High School
In 1976 Paul started the Plymouth School District Wrestling Club serving as President/Treasurer for 20 years
and is an active UW Madison Wrestling Booster
and Badger Regional Training Center Supporter
Coordinator of the "Weigh-out Club" monthly gathering of retired wrestling coaches and and a die hard fans of Wisconsin and is a member of the Badger's team who established the George Martin Hall of Fame to honor his former coach.
Off the mat, Paul and his wife, Char, helped to raise 11 foster children in addition to their 4 biological
children.
Congratulations Paul on earning this well deserved recognition.
