This week we got to celebrate our youth wrestlers at our banquet. Congratulations on an awesome season and all the improvement. The future of Viking Wrestling is bright!

Day 3 of Youth State had Vaida & Lucy competing today.
This was Lucy's 1st year making State and took some valuable lessons to build on for next year. She finished 0-2 on the day.
Vaida qualified her 2nd year in a row, narrowly missing podium last year. This year, she brought heart and determination to the mat. She finished the day 3-2 with victories of 17-3, 3-1, and a pin with 6 seconds to go while trailing to take 5th place in her bracket 💪
5 podium finishers on the weekend!

Youth State Day 2 featured 4 of our own today!!
Calvin made his 1st trip down to State and wrestled hard in both of his matches, unfortunately going 0-2 losing his 2nd match 11-10.
Ryker made his 1st trip down to State, as well. He ended his day on the podium, finishing 6th place!!!
DJ & Elijah both made the State tournament for the 2nd time. DJ finished 4th & Elijah finished 3rd on the day!!
These boys left it all on the mat today and are back to the practice room to improve their skills for the future!!!

We will have Vaida & Lucy hitting the mat tomorrow!! Let's go Lady Vikes!!!
