We took our annual trip this year over to Alma, Wi and fished some of the backwaters of the Mississippi. During our trip we also participating in the WIFA North/South trifecta. We were paired with Marinette High School. The goal for teams was to catch and measure 3 fish of each species. We took 6th place out of 24 teams/48 schools. Not to shabby. It was a great time. A special thank you to the chaperones that came along to help make a great trip.

UPDATE!
We made a switch in the East-West Trifecta event due to the high volume of East teams...

It is now...the WIFA NORTH-SOUTH Tag-Team Trifecta! You will just see updated logo, and pairings will be based on North-South geographic locations. Of the current 32 teams signed up for this event we have an even 16-16 split! If you were already signed up, nothing for you to do! We already made the edits in the sign up sheet based roughly on WI Hwy 10!

This should be an exciting event pairing teams together to strategize and fish to their strengths!

Event is the weekend of Sat-Sun January 28-29th!

DEADLINE TO SIGN UP IS JANUARY 15th! Don't miss out on this fun WIFA Ice Tournament!

Ice Safety is always on our mind and is the #1 priority of our teams!

Some principles to always keep in mind when hitting the ice this winter:
-Never go alone. Always have a buddy and tell someone where you are going and when you should be back!
-Wear ice picks! They cant help you get out if they are in your tackle bag!
-Always carry a spud bar at early ice. Ice freezes differently on each lake and on different parts of the lake.
-Carry floatation with you whether its a lifejacket or throw bag. It can help save someone else's life!

Here is our WIFA Ice Safety Presentation to show to your team or to refresh yourself as an individual!
